I get what you mean! I’m enjoying the story, but it feels like it’s missing a bit of heart. Other BL webtoons have memorable characters that feel more ‘full’ - whereas this one feels so rigid, and it feels like these characters are following the typical BL ‘script’. Ie. ML is rich and powerful, and helps out poor wil mc , oh yea and then make them randomly fuck too, to keep the fans happy.

I can’t help but compare it to some of my favourites - like fools, never understand, grandmaster of demonic cultivation. To varying degrees of fiction, but they all feel more human.

- I kinda agree with your thoughts on this, it is somehow feels empty though but I am truly invested with how the story flows and now season 2 comes. I can't help but to look forward as how much author showers the story.

I think it’s cause he’s a teacher? Like it says it in the title. Tbf I also didn’t read it at first cause I thought it would be more tame and kinda slow with some action every once in a while to show how strong he is(him being in the countryside), but it wasn’t what I was expecting lol. I also didn’t realize mc was going to be so hot too lol—

But the first chapters are kinda slow I feel like. Like, it really picks up the pace and becomes more interesting when he arrives at the academy I think?

Honestly, I only read this cause I was on a murim binge and I was running out of stuff to read lol—

But yeah, considering the summary, people might think he’s just a teacher in the countryside for the whole story, and it’s like far removed from he main plot and stuff.
