I read the other novel a long time ago and iirc, in "I can see your stats" it was stated that the "devouring" Σ(っ°Д °;)っ (literally I think) is something Dragons- (yanu [their ML] and I guess amon? [this ML])
-do as a desperate move(?) to protect their "mate" (≧∀≦) or smthn like that which results in the mate's rebirth which also changes their personality and also adapt the dragon's eye color (●◡●)
Yanu didn't want that to happen (￣∇￣") to the mc and managed to protect him; (when someone has a trait that can enable them to be a mate to a dragon but not mated yet, other dragons will fight for the chance and only one can claim (๑•ㅂ•)و✧)
So it seems to me amon got the route of either nine getting injured/dying or didn't accept him (I don't know yet)
I didn't read the novel in ridi for this one so I'm also kinda curious about their past (amon and nine) I don't mind spoilers hehe(⌒▽⌒)
