I agree so much the story in itself is so dubious and coercive plus Stockholm syndrome-ish but the omegaverse side story is the worst. The way the it is implied that it's okay coz he only tops others and bottoms only for hojin is horrible. He's keeping hojin but does this and also thinks of living in a three way relationship. He can't see how sad hojin is inside. But hojin too....why is he such a doormat and simp seriously. He needs to know how to value oneself. This mc is like the other generic tops(more like the Chinese manhua types lol) which people absolutely hate but why does being like that make him a power bottom? Reeks of double standards.

So the novel clear it up: MLs message with the sik scarf to her back then was was either shut up or die. In the novel it was implied that she forced him to make her the the empress and legitimate companion but he didn’t care back then, so he just sent her the scarf as a warning, thinking that MC would choose not kill herself but she did.
So after she died, he suffers from the after effects of vomiting black blood 12x a day for around 2 to 3 years before going mad and killing everyone then turned back time.
Damn that makes his character even worse. I was holding out on her misunderstanding, or someone sent it to her under false pretenses pretending it was from him. But to actually know he sent it knowing it could be a 50/50 chance of her actually doing it is sad. I wouldn't forgive him neither.

They end up together.....the MC realised there is no way she can run away, because he always catch her, and one point she realised that suicide is not an option too, because ML just turn back the time. They going zo have 2 child.
From the detailed spoilers there was not a typical redemption arc, and because this pretty much readars was disappointed. He kneeling and appologies many times, but still he says he cannot let her leave, because he need her, what I love in MC, that she constantly bring back the past like:why do you want now this and that, when I wanted it you didn't even bat an eye....in these times ML feels like her words stabbing him....and MC never says out that she love him.
Well so she is forced to be with him and just accept it because she don't have any other choice.
