I would really like to believe in this. IDK how to express this; After seeing something broken I wish to know if it was truly mended or just sort had a paste job done on it. And while everything looks right on the surface, happy, sweet, lovey-dovey, none of the deeper problems ever seemed to have been addressed. Presto- all is fine- Shingo 'belongs' to Keiichi while Keiichi 'longs' for Shingo.
Poor Rio is all I can say. This ch. would have been more cute and convinving if something had never been broken. Then there would be no need of repair. For them or me. It's like we just returned to a previous relationship setting. So I would much rather be reading about Jin or Rio at this point. Or a entirely new couple. Sensei knows how to make us fall in love...
Saw the anime and just had to read on! I personally enjoyed my teen yrs, but really feel no need to return experience them again. But I like the way the story poses questions about the some of the decisions we make in life. I'm just not sure I agree with the premise that its do or break time in our teens. As if we can't change later. Still I love it. And I don't generally like long drawn-out mangas. I was at the last ch. and wanting more before I knew it. :D
I just love this manga! And can't wait for the next update. Kudos for keeping them coming so fast.
Wondering though if there might be something of a moral in this story: Violence and hatred begets more violence and hatred or what goes around comes around? Then these guys who once got it, and who are now giving it, should watch out. Perhaps it is the guy who quits playing who wins. Guess who'd that would be in the manga?
I really enjoy the mood of this. I like that the story is taking its time, setting up the context, building the characters. Yet at the same time involving the reader right away. Somehow, without much happening it still felt like a lot did, and can't wait to see what happens next. That is real storytelling craft!
This is good, cute and enjoyable. But IMO it suffers a somewhat from clichéed and predictable storylines, despite having created an interesting backstory.
Also, just as I expected the story not to be cliché, (ré uke not realizing seme liked and was talking about him = being in denial), it goes ahead and does it anyway. I had just given this manga a mental award in ch. 2 only to have to take it back as we got the same old tropes in this ch.
What saves it all is that it is well done. I do feel for these boys, and want them together. So, provided it keeps this emotional integrity, I'll keep enjoying this.
It's shoujo manga themed so well it is XDDD
I'm not sure what that has to do with the point I was trying to make, except perhaps shoujo being more cliché and predictable than yaoi/shonen ai (but not even sure that's true). What impressed me in ch. 2 was the uke's realization that the seme was referring to him as his crush, a nice change for once, only to argue himself out of it in ch. 3. Aside from it just seemed like the uke had little reason to really believe his own counterargument, not knowing of any other friend and having been told that the crush was a guy, he still invents some mythical girl of the past.
I suspect this was as much about creating plot obstacles for our couple. I just wish the mangaka had found a slightly different way, aside from the interfering friend that already is present, perhaps also the uke actually met his ideal girl so that it is the uke who had to decide what it is he wants. But who knows, early days yet and ideal girl may yet be waiting in the wings to trouble our love birds.
Great story! Absolute enjoyed this despite lingustic issues. And while I'm always grateful for the effort that goes into scanlating, I do think those issues just ought to mentioned; forewarned is forearmed. There are assorted typos, grammatical, and just awkward language construction that can at times be an issue.
That said, none of it posed a serious obstacle to understanding and enjoying the story. I'm thankful that I get to a chance to enjoy this. :)

I enjoyed that last scene, very amusing. I do find the the characters a bit too feminine in the way they're drawn. Just that tad too much. Which makes me, despite my enjoyment of that last scene, rather ship Ushio X Chihaya, as they are more dynamic pairing, of the 4.
