i first only started reading this story because the premise was so different to what youd usually see in this genre, a reincarnated villainess who has no plans to fit into this new world and fight so hard for survival and instead wants to return back to her world but wow. i was honestly kind of amazed at how extremely well written this is, i love how realistic each character is and how they truly feel human along with how the villains are only "villains" because of how the world has treated them. like many people i really dont like the high priest, knight (jason), or the crown prince however i do understand why theyre so obsessed with eris, in my eyes if the crown prince was the only one obsessed with her it wouldve been 100% better. though we only see how his mind works for a chapter i believe thats plenty. hes someone who was born into a world full of expectations and with the responsibility of being the crown prince, if you couple it with the fact that his parents showed no interest in him together with the fact him and helena were only friends, it makes sense why he "needs" eris. she was the only one to show him love. no matter whether he loves her or not, he craved the attention and affection eris gave him and when she stopped he questioned why. in his mind it was something that was never going to change, he will be king one day and eris mizelian loves him. in spite of that i kind of wish the author did more with his contrasting feelings for eris instead of making him and two other guys obsessed with her for half hearted reasons. my favourite part of this story by far has got to be the love shown between anakin and eris, its something so deep that not even words could explain it. anakin would do anything for his master, shes almost like a god to him since her orders are absolute and he is the only reason why she would even consider staying in this new world. i really like the fact that their love is so different to the usual romance you see and how even though their love is so peculiar theyd do anything for eachother. helena was a wonderfully written character as well. through her we get to see almost the dark side of these stories and how if they were real how they would play out. helena at the end of the day was a fallen noble who had no power and couldnt say no to the crown prince in a world where power and authority mean everything. when reading a normal villainess manhwa you forget that to the characters of the story, their world isnt just a story to them, its real life and a lot of bad things that happen to move the plot along or for character development are real things that happen to real people. i hope everyone gets the ending they deserve and i hope anakin and eris meet again in her original world.

chapter 56 feels so ominous!!! maybe its because this story isnt like typical villainess stories where the mc and og villainess arent fighting and so far we havent had any real issues in the story but im nervous as hell. i really hope eilien(?)/erin and aidan get their happy ending without much drama and i hope yulia stays the way she is without having to conform with the way society is. though the last few panels really really scared me because i feel like it was a death flag and this is now the calm before the storm, i have a feeling there might be a second male lead who gets involved since we havent heard of one yet and thats normally how these stories progress but please author let everyone be happy!!!
abigails family are all terrible, i read spoilers for this because i wanted to know who the villain in this story was and after everything i just feel like her family are the real villains here. i understand this is a historical manhwa and obviously things were different hundreds of years ago than they are today but her familys just trash. i hope her brother eats shits and dies from some slow painful disease and i hope the rest of her family sets ablaze. seiblian and blanche are all the family she needs!!
i started reading this because the concept was unique, a human living for billions of years as different creatures learning what life was before becoming human and learning what humanity is. i really liked that ja-in was a villain and had a hatred for humans but i also didnt mind the moral dillemma he was facing when he realised there is just as much good as bad and human emotions can change a lot of things. the only downside the manhwa really has was the pacing, if the whole end of the world thing happened was spread out in 100 or more chapters i think the story wouldve been way better. from the first chapters to him now wanting to die and "end things" we're only 58 chapters in and i think thats what personally kills this story. him meeting humans who treat him with care and affection couldve been longer imo because then as readers we could truly understand why he changed his mind and why hes now siding with humans. apart from that i feel sort of conflicted about this manhwa because it had the potential to be amazing but instead its just okay

I fully agree with you that this manga that began with a very complex question of "being". It was sublime to say the least.
But to find it reduced to monogamous couplehood. Idk. I felt so very betrayed by the author. This author dared to challenge our perceptions of "existence", "being" & "identity" through the mc. And as reader, I admit I had high expectations. What a disappointment it turned out to be. The ending was so safe, so mediocre. I'm sure it comforted a lot of readers who thrive on such mundane binaries.
A part of me is angry. This author dared to shake our perceptions of reality but himself could not conceive of a reality beyond that age old monogamy. He asked the question on "being" & "existence" but he either lacked the courage to write uncomfortable endings or he lacked the acumen & emotional intelligence to even conceive of it. And both those reasonings are so just so pathetic

i started reading this and was immediately hooked, it had a girlboss absolutely DESTROYING pieces of trash but recently i feel like after the office one with nanako? (ive forgotten her name) the plot has really changed and imo its not as enjoyable. the storylines have been about hating women. i want to see cheating men get their karma, not women (even if they are bad people)

100% i think people should get their karma but i really dislike this new arc and how wen zheng will essentially be losing everything just because hes the descendant of someones lover. i think if he had done wrong i dont think i wouldve felt sympathetic but it really just rubs me the wrong way that a lot of innocent people in the recent arcs also get hurt just because they crossed paths with su luxia

Su Luxia tried her best to save him but in the end he still got possessed because "that's way of the storyline" aka destiny. This arc is not about revenge, the wife's wish is for them to be together again as a loving couple.

i saw this manga on tiktok and decided to read it simply because i liked the way shino looked and i was not disappointed. this story is so interesting !! i love that we get the pov of different characters so we know what theyre thinking. the story was incredibly realistic and had characters with human flaws which was really lovely to see. im happy shino ended up following her dream but im a tiny bit sad that she and natsu were never able to patch things up but that adds to the beauty of this story. 10/10 !!!

this story is literally perfect. i love the way the villainess wasnt just some "evil woman" wanting power and how there were other forces at play and at the end of the day everyone is human dealing with the ugly sides of humanity. 140 chapters in and we finally have the proposal but it feels like the perfect time, the author didnt drag the story out or rush any of it and you can see the pure love the couple have. i didnt read this for the longest time because of the title but now im kicking myself for not reading it sooner. its amazing

i started reading this in 2020 !! it was one of the first manhwas i ever read and it actually got me into villainess manhwas but after nearly FOUR years of reading im thinking of dropping this because literally nothing of value has happened in the plot. were literally 113 chapters in and we still havent gotten a gender reveal, a confession, a real fight with the villain, or anything at all that means anything to the plot. the only reason i havent dropped it so far is because i thought the prince would find out celestine was selena due to them fighting the witch and both of them being in a pretty rough shape after, but now hes misunderstanding AGAIN and thinks celestine is somehow engaged to himself ?? im so sick of this story at this point, somehow ive managed to read 300+ stories in the past 3 years and somehow i still havent completed this... wild
