Chase and Joel are not doing it for me. The writer coulda kept that one in the drafts. I just want more Andy and Jesse moments and developments

My heart sinks whenever it's Chase and Joel. I skip through the chapter. I really don't want to read about a mid thirties man going out with a high schooler. Like ugh. I would be just as uncomfortable if Chase was a high school girl dating Joel.
If Chase were were at least in college I'd be okay with it, but high school? No thank you.
I just want to read about Jesse and Andy. They're cute and lately we don't get nearly enough of them.

can someone please walk me through why y’all believe Jihyun deserves a redemption arc? Like why is it necessary for him to be redeemed? Why can’t he just be a multidimensional bad guy? Even if, which he will, he comes to apologize to Chiwoo for all his wrong doings, I don’t consider that redemption, it’s just common curtesy at this point. As a survivor of sexual assault, I truly pray none of y’all are ever in Chiwoo’s situation cause fiction or not, the way y’all are going about defending Jihyuns every single action is very very concerning.......just clarify, I’m all for Jihyun being cleared for the whole murder thing, but that’s literally it. Nothing else was a misunderstanding

My Starry Sky is the only yaoi manga that’s done a redemption arc right and even the seme wasn’t as bad as Jihyun. Kyujin maybe one dimensional, but so is Jihyun, he’s literally an innately violent person and the writer has shown that to us constantly. Like any abusive relationship yes, there are the great memories and the good parts, but then there’s the violence which is a constant reminder that this person will not change. That is literally the relationship Chiwoo and Jihyun have.....Chiwoo was able to let go of most of the violent shyt Jihyun did because it was never directed at him until it was and as a result, Chiwoo has literal PTSD every time he’s around. It makes no sense for Chiwoo to live his life being with Jihyun and keeping his attention solely because he’s scared of what he might do if he falls for someone or wants to be friends with someone. Violence aside, that is abuse

I agree,
I wanted like to see redemption arc before this most recent episode, for the sake of, it's fiction and I like happy ending and fluff and I'd like to think people grow. I was in a very abusive situation that was physically violent and emotionally abusive too so I really feel you. I try to see other people opinions and if it was done right I wouldn't hate a redemption. But that's really just me, wishing life could end happy and seeking that in fiction.
It really is concerning some of the comments I see about jihyun and I really worry about others.
(when I say a redemption I hope in using the right word, but because I want it to end happy, it woukd be nice if like dude got a little side chapter a few years after the story where he just like got some help and made progress towards being better as a whole person and admitting his faults. But I dint think he shouid end uo in a relationship anything soon. That's being said, I can be okay with him just being a multi bad guy. Even bad people have feelings and other human qualities doesn't mean they aren't shitty.)
So agree agree I just in my tangent

Just stopped by to say Kyujin is best boy. Chiwoo likes him back and that's all that matters. I also think it's very strange that people are trying really hard to find reasons to hate Kyujin lmaooo like what has he really done that wrong? Even if Jihyun wasnt in the picture, the worst thing he's done is kiss him without his consent and even that he apologized for and followed his wish of leaving him alone, for as long as he could anyway. All his actions are no different from someone who has a crush/likes someone. His personality has been the exact same since the beginning. Even before he fell for him, he was the only person that approached Chiwoo and wanted to be his friend when everyone else was prejudice against him. I've even read the raws and til the very end, Kyujin is a good guy. He is not obsessive because we only see him in love with Chiwoo, that's literally just part of the plot. We don't see anything else about either guys lives. The only person here with an obsession is Jihyun. Even before he was falsely accused of murder, he was a fycked up person. He literally broke a guy's leg for talking to Chiwoo....if he didnt get falsely accused, im still convinced that in the future, he wouldve actually killed someone.

But I really wish Ibelina would stop treating herself like she’s just some kind of side character at this point. Maybe it’s her tunnel vision of the novel or her two brain cells acting up, but she’s played too big of a role in Alejandro’s life for him to just “forget” about her when he meets another woman. The only reason he falls in love with Elenora in the novel is because she eventually treats him as a human being again and lifts his curse. Ibelina has already done that and much for, so there’s literally no reason for Alejandro to fall for Elenora. I don’t get how she could be so smart, yet so “dumb” in that regard. She’s completely altered the original storyline. Other than that I’m glad she wasn’t planning on being away forever.

I am fully invested in this story. I love both Shii and Tamaki, but I have to say, I feel really bad for Tamaki. Obviously Shii doesn't know, but Tamaki's mom is fycked in the head and even Tamaki in all his innocence doesn't know/ understand that. What type of mom has sex in front of their child??? And then to bring like 6 boyfriends home, without even considering her child....Don't get me wrong, she was a teen mom and I'm sure she tried her best, but poor Tamaki. He didn't even know he was supposed to brush and bathe everyday. Anywhoo, I love that Tamaki knows why he has his trauma with women and wants to work to get over it because he doesn't wanna hate his mom's gender. I just hope he's able to talk about it eventually cause as of now, he associates sex with "bad behavior".
Also when Shii said the "gender matters" in ch. 5.5, wow amazing, growth! Tired of yaoi's always doing the whole, I don't care if "you're a man or a woman" trope or "I don't like all guys I only like you" trope.
Also, Kyujin, being a cute puppy aside, is fine as shyt when he wants to be....he's also built like a linebacker, so there's that lmao
