The story is just unfortunately not set up for Cain. They haven’t developed the supernatural plot enough for his story to make sense. Jooin doesn’t have a single inkling that Cain was his dog. No memories, dreams, or even a feeling that he used to know him. And trying to develop that now without it feeling rushed would be damn near impossible. I feel like for Cain’s backstory to be this intense, he should be the main character. The author didn’t prioritize developing his story, and instead focused on Jooin and Yahwi, and now the supernatural aspect of this manhwa doesn’t fit into the story anymore. Cain didn’t have to be a cruch or a plot tool for further development of Jooin and Yahwi’s relationship, but because so much time has been wasted on the main couple, that’s what he’s become.
Based Jooin honestly. He had every right to question Cain. Now, as much as I dislike Yahwi and dont want any further development between the two, I can acknowledge that Jooin is reaching. He has every reason to be mad at Yahwi but I dont think Yahwi treated him the way he did because Jooin didn’t remember him from when they were kids. At least I hope not cause that would be insane lmao. But yeah, I hope Cain explains his situation to Jooin. I understand its not easy for him cause his backstory isn’t as easy as “I saw you for two seconds when we were kids”, he was literally his dog in a PAST life. So idk how Cain is gonna explain that but I’m wishing for the best.

Yahwi’s back story is tragic, but it doesn’t correlate with how’s he’s acted overall. They would have been better off giving him a backstory of neglect or something. Cause his parents dying in a car crash doesn’t explain how he’s acted in this entire manhwa. But, I predict that his grandfather is gonna neglect him in the next chapter so it’ll all “make sense”
