i think what they’re trying to say is both mc and ml are living in the same life and both went back in time, but mc lost his memories about the past, whereas ml remembers.

idk if this is true but my theory is that there’s no “novel” and “normal” universe, it’s just one single universe, and i think mc has this vision of a normal life and suddenly brought into novel as a trauma response after getting abused by ml in the past.

so basically they’re both back in time and ml is trying to fix things? whereas mc is like lost in his “novel” and “normal” worlds imagination
