godddd i loved this so much! i especially loved jun and subin’s relationship - very relaxed and simplistic. no over-the-top confessions of love, just to people quietly finding happiness with each other. jun was a great love interest, and i’m so happy that they get their happily ever after.
i was really scared that hyunwoo and subin were gonna end up together. while i think they would’ve been cute, their history just wouldn’t have made the couple sit right with me. hyunwoo dragged out subin’s feelings for too long. it was really satisfying in a tragic sort of way when he realizes that he might’ve actually liked subin. they would’ve been amazing together, five years before.
that scene where subin leaves is so relieving, but it also makes you feel a sense of loss for what could have been. seeing hyunwoo follow subin’s footprints in the snow is so satisfying yet heartbreaking.
y’all it’s so rare to find a dom in bdsm manga and manhwa that actually respects the sub ╥﹏╥ also most stories that have bdsm elements don’t even touch upon safe words or signals. i was so surprised when they mentioned them and i respect the author a lot for having the dom say that signals and safe words aren’t a joke. knowing there’s a safe word makes reading bdsm stories a lot easier for me. The magic system gets explained more in the novel and Desir is the type who constantly reworks or improves on the magic system so there's walls of text of his thoughts while he works on a spell or sth lol. Desir's a thorough magic nerd haha
