um are we reading the same story the author said when the master died the doll stopped moving and that both of them have gone to heaven, this means the dolls soul and the master’s are in heaven together, however as the doll itself that was housing shimeji’s soul is now a normal doll and shimeji and the master are together in heaven

Shimeji moved for different masters so yeah, he went to heaven together with Shin. If not, the next owner of the doll all they had to do was love the doll and Shimeji would move again

Did you read the entire manga???? Shimeji had other masters. Those masters loved him but the moment he started moving, they got scared and didn't love him anymore so he stopped moving. Until Shin. Who loved him and didn't get scared so he could keep moving and living. When Shin dies both souls went to heaven that's why no matter how many masters and how much they loved the doll, it wouldn't move anymore as Shimeji was no longer there. You even say Shin makes multiple Shimeji but that's not the case. What he does is multiple attempts at repairing the original doll.
