Yeah Momose was very wrong to be so forceful and should've used a different slow approach. That bugs me about his character a lot.
But I think that the reason why Yashiro wanted to be with him only when crossdressing was because that is the only time where he can be his true self therefore can express and feel the genuine love for someone, not when he is denying and hiding who he really is. Only when he is completely free can he reciprocate the feelings.
