To be honest, now that the story is not following the novel, I am way confused as to where the story is heading. And why do I feel like the story is dragging now?
It's like everyone is waiting for something dreadful to happen until they realize who is doing all the scheming.
I mean, who is the only one seeing athy and Claude all the time? It's Janette, for fuck sake! Athy knows how the story unfolds; why is she all question mark with what was going on?

I don't understand the fear of posting what's on your mind in this specific manhua comment section. I mean, all of us are entitled to our own opinion, so people don't have the right to hate us for it.
I understand where the twins are coming from as I came out from an abusive relationship. I manage to get out, and now I'm healing. And on how I get out of it, I decide to trust and open myself again to those willing to help me. Closing yourself, giving cold shoulder and be defensive on all the helping hand that's trying to help you is not the answer. Especially with people trying their best to help you. Because if you keep on doing it, these people will someday lose their will to help you.
I am just happy that the princes and the emperor didn't give up on them like how my parents did give up on helping me recover. All it takes is trust and opening-up again. And as far as I can see, the twins are unwilling to do that unless somebody will get hurt. I understand that it has been a long time since they manage to have some freedom to do what they want and the fact that the king and the princes hid the truth, but that doesn't justify their actions.
Let see how the story will unfold. I just feel bad for the twin fox guardian because he is the one who is getting the destructive emotions of the twins.

I too feel bad for their guardian ╥﹏╥
Also i think they were opening up little by little but when the eavesdroped their father saying that he would have killed them before they werr born if his life was not on line, it triggered their hatred towards imperical bloodline and also since they were earlier from an open society this hierarchial lyfe will be very hard to digest
But yeah if there was some more communication it would have been better

Um the emperor was wrong. How hard is it to acknowledge that? I'm getting really tired of the majority of people defending abusive actions. (That's why some people are vocal about the same opinions being shared... over and over and over... and over again... not for the reasons *you* obviously think.) though
Don't think they were abusive? If, as the emperor thought, the children were dead despite him not contacting them as he promised Rurahel he wouldn't and one of his sons noticed the deterioration of the palace from what it once was then any LOGICAL, MATURE, COMPASSIONATE and non abusive person would realize that Rurahel never meant to keep her word and would have investigated the matter thoroughly, *not only* because they would now have to believe her threats no longer held any weight *but also* because the financial mismanagement of the palace suggests that it was likely she would not be caring for the children as she should have, either. So instead his words about killing them when they were younger just underline the fact that he actually didn't want to make any real effort to help them and that his only concern was saving himself future headaches by making the twins pay with their lives.
Almost(*) everyone keeps defending him without looking at things from their side so I'm not surprised the twins are freaking tired of it like I am. That's even if he had good reason to ignore them while believing they were dead. Trauma is not something that can or SHOULD be resolved with the snap of one's fingers as most other readers obviously believe, *especially* not by claiming that the ones who experienced the trauma should be the ones to 'understand' the position of the one who in large part caused it without being able to expect at least some reciprocation in reverse.
But everyone keeps asking the victims to make more concessions to the abusers as if that isn't abusive in and of itself and that will somehow solve the problem instead of being the very root of it as it obviously is. It's really sad though that even *other* abuse victims fall for this b.s.
*The one who should be least sympathetic to the twins' plight is the one who is most sympathetic: their guardian. I really 'wonder' why that is. Bnaodbas.

That person be replying to everyone who dont agree with their view like it's so hilarious. It's internet. Take a dang chill pill.
A lot of people have the right to voice their discontent with how the manhwa artist is going with this because apparently the novel didnt have this duke/son deviation that just keep frustrating people chapter & chapter again.
My obvious point will only be this, the twins have so much trust issue with the emperor & everyone related to him but the fact they could get close to the duke in the first place was because of the emperor's blessing. Isnt that a tad ironic? Like so much questions can arise from that alone which wont seal firm their 'first impression accidental meeting' ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It's annoying how s2manga keep on sniping good quality manhua and deliver a trashy translation
