Unfortunately a shit ton of men, of any sexuality, don't ask for consent. If it's applauded, then authors should know it sells better otherwise we get Jinx and POTN.

Honestly you are correct, IT IS THE BARE MINIMUM. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE!!! SERIOUSLY, But they don't normalize this.. I hardly see "Asking for consent" On manhwas or books. IT IS SO UNDERATTED. IT NEEDS MORE REPRESENTATION BC CONSENT IS A BASIC THING TO DO IF YOU NEED SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE.
I'm not like trying to over praise either, like just comparing to the other manhwas makes me feel sick, LIKE IT IS SO EASY TO DO THIS!!! AND THEY CANT.. They need to do better.

i totally agree but don’t you think we should find stories with more consent and less toxicity instead of reading things without so much horrible ML who finish to become the MC’s end game? if we continue to give them credit and read there stories, they will continue to do these and thinking that its what readers like :/

YES!! like if we continue to give them read when the authors give us so much horrible stuff like these we would not be able to find real stories about love and respect. i dont want to generalize but i think a lot of young girls ou boys are reading that sort of manhwa and i think its not a good exemple of what they should do when they love someone. because if the authors justify those behavior with love or trauma, we will get a lot of disturb young adults…. :/

la plupart des bl les plus connus on du v*ol ou des agressions banalisées et c’est vraiment dommage. après je dis pas du tout que ces auteurs sont ok avec le comportement de leurs personnages mais on ne doit pas oublier que c’est tout de même des crimes et que les représenter avec des justifications comme l’amour ou les trauma c’est vraiment pas ouf. on cite souvent Jinx ou POTN mais on en oublie beaucoup d’autres parce que souvent ces agressions sont cachées dans des intrigues comme « mariage forcé » ou « sponsor ». ça devient fatiguant parce que clairement beaucoup d’auteurs choisissent ce parti pris pour vendre mais je pense qu’on ne doit pas minimiser notre rôle là dedans parce que si ça rapporte de l’argent, c’est parce que souvent ce sont nous qui le leur donnons….

That's a different beast and an argument you could give for those types of manhwa. This isn't a rapey, toxic manhwa so when the majority of comments (on the official site btw) are like "yay, consent!" it shows the author that A. people like their work for what it is and B. this is what sells so do more of it. I agree with you about those icky stories, if this were like a one time thing where rapey ML asks for consent once, then I would be saying pretty much what you are. I don't think I'm quite explaining my side that well so forgive me, I'm agreeing with you but on a different angle

dont be sorry, i dont think i express myself very well too but i agree with you and i think the main problem is the way some of these stories try to do like « bad boy » ML but in a very bad way and like you said, its good money and people still read those so…. i didnt mean to say that this manhwa was problematic because its not the case but its the reactions who made me tic like i love this story and the ML is really good, i can say something when he is not. again, its really the comments i want to point at, not the chapter! sorry if i made it seem this way, it wasnt the case :/

Then riddle me this; if Asuka had managed to save Ao without resorting to violence when he showed up, do you think the leopards would have just let them leave alive?? Do you think they wouldn't have just chased after them and done worse than just trashing a shop that can be rebuilt??

Also, let's say Ao allowed himself to be raped and trafficked for the sake of his family. The leopards were literally JUST talking about how it was supposed to be one of the little sisters-- who are children btw-- being kidnapped and sex trafficked. The leopards would've just moved back to that plan after selling Ao off.

And finally, in the event that Asuka showed up to save Ao, only to get the three of them murdered (('cause mind you, Asuka's cousin was also there to help)) what would stop the leopards from going back to the shop to torment the rest of the family?? Except this time they don't even have Asuka to stand watch since he'd have been killed with Ao.

If Ao had just let Asuka and his gang deal with the leopards before this all happened it wouldn't have happened. Ao's unreasonable need to be passive is what kept Asuka from making the call to his mother to help get rid of the leopards 'cause Ao didn't believe in Asuka's ability to protect them.

Yea your explenation is really understandable except for the last part if ao said yes to asuka's gang dealing with them its basicly ao telling him "yeah go be a murderer with your gang" which yea ik asuka and the gang is like a yakuza and stuff obvsly they have murdered ppl but i dont think ao being ao would actually want to say that to him ? Like ao said violanve never solved anything it'll only dragged on until one of them died and lets just say ao did let asuka and the gang handle teh leopards what are the chances that asuka's gang wont lose ? And if asuka's gang did lose it'll only drag on and on and who in the world wouldve thought that the leopards would kidnap one of them and actually tried to grape them? im not blaming asuka and im not hating on ao either both have their own reasons and stuff infact im glad asuka went and punch those shitheads and maybe people should start hating on the actual bad guys a.k.a the leopards instead of ao (︶︿︶)＝凸

Honestly, this probably be solved if Asuka's mom was involved. Like, I get what he is saying and this would work in some circumstances but not with the Yazuka. And I understand what your saying but the leopards wouldn't stop it looked like they were planning this, especially since their bunnies. I read case file about the Yazuka, Mafia, and gangs (I blame KHR), you either move away and depending on the situation you erase your identity, have some kind of power and be sly to avoid it, or beat them down to submission, or take down the leader sometimes the gang will disband. So, yeah this a rough situation.

Asuka comes from a more powerful gang. If he had been allowed to contact his mom they could've worked a gathering of the heads or applied systematic pressure on the leopards for dabbling in highly illegal dealings ((attempted sex trafficking of children and physical violence to extort money.))

This is a fantasy world where people are half animals so there are things that are possible that wouldn't be if this was based more in realism lol

And I've stated this before, but being a passive victim only works for so long. Ao and the townsfolk could continue to allow themselves to be abused without fighting back, but eventually it would have escalated to this point even without Asuka's interference or having returned. The leopards are only using him as an excuse to expedite their plans-- which is to make as much money as they can through whatever means necessary.

If anything, they should be using Asuka and his gang to their advantage to get the leopards out of there. Buildings can be rebuilt if the community works together.

I have to agree with you on this part all but people shoukd really stop blaming ao just for being passive not everyone can handle violence and not everyone is a "violence is the solution" type yea true for this part violence is necessary, i myself also think ao shouldve let asuka's gang handle the leopards all i wanted to do was say people should stop hating on ao just because he choose not to use violence plus just saying this is all fiction n definitly for the plot ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
