I feel like after this fluffiness, everything will turn angsty- Because ML is a prince aiming to become the crown prince and perhaps king or emperor and then she's a commoner- If the route goes to a more realistic one(Like the emperor's knight-), the story will be really painful but if they disregard a bit of its realism then it might still be angsty but not that much.

I don't really hate Jeha for doing what he did, A character becomes more interesting if they make mistakes and when they realize their flaws and works hard to change the mindset they had carried while growing up due to the environment they lived in. It gives a perfect amount of angst and the feels makes it tenfolds better rather than having less or too much drama.
In short, It's satisfying to see character growth instead of too perfect character who doesn't make mistakes and always does the right thing and says the right stuff at the right moment
