Hmmmm Idk why I'm starting to feel a little disconnected and off with the duke, at the start I really did like him as a ml, but with the latest chapter, I really don't like how he said those words about her being a free woman or smth. It doesn't really feel romantic or those ooh possessive male lead yum.

Its mainly because she is the one in charge of planning the wedding and if the Duke was free he may have left her be and planned the wedding himself. But he is not. He is an obsessive duke. The free lady was meant as he's not going to let her be free from him, and that they will get married and follow the schedule no matter what. Ripley has the tendency to be running away, which makes him more determined to bind Ripley to him ASAP lol.
