The author’s other work called the witch’s servant is the sequel of this one and it just hurts. It’s supposed to be comedy but... :((
I’m only at chapter 26 but it’s enough to break my heart.

In the sequel, arsenio is already a ‘monster’ and sauro is no where in sight (although he sometimes appears in dreams and flashbacks). There were some dialogue around chapter 25 where arsenio said that he was burned at the stake because people thought that he was a monster even though he was still human. And there was also a flash back where arsenio seemed to have accidentally burned sauro with his fire magic :(.
Sauro formally makes an appearance at the end of chapter 25 saying “I will do whatever it takes to kill monsters. In accordance with the word, they must all be destroyed.” Man that got me bawling because that means this manga doesn’t end well and they didn’t part on good terms :(.
I stopped at chapter 26 to let my heart rest because I can’t take too much of this pain ╥﹏╥. I know that it’s impossible but I really hope that this is a parallel universe where they have a happy ending because they deserve it.
I expected the outcome to be like this but don’t know what I would’ve done if azuma’s head was really attached to the principals body ( ̄∇ ̄")
shit, me too ╥﹏╥ that would be like, creepy as hell. imagine how disturbing it is for tatsumi to keep on interacting with a person with the face of your beloved lmao, that would scare ME shitless. thank God the author did not drive towards that route.
Yes yes but then Tatsumi would be tortured for all his hesitation in the past and his blind faith in the president, I was hoping he paid for it
