I read this years ago but it suddenly disappeared from my reading lists. I’m so glad I finally found it again ╥﹏╥. This story broke my 12 year old self because even though it was certainly a happy ending, I still felt like I was given a reality check.
You know, I kinda get the negative comments because I can actually relate to Doyun (the ex).
I know that it’s not the same for everyone but work can really take over your life and not every one knows how to balance it with personal relationships :((. The latest chapters made me feel like I don’t deserve to be in a relationship because I really value my work. ╥﹏╥
I saw a comment that said that doyun was not trying hard enough but even so, If wonhae had problems with his lover he should’ve said that he’s ‘tired of being understanding’ and broke up with him instead of stringing him on with his “cheating.” He involved a lot of people in their lover’s quarrel and that’s not okay. I was actually hoping for wonhae’s character development but what I got is a new love interest. Like, why was wonhae’s actions accepted? It felt like everyone just accepted that acting like you’re cheating is justified because doyun wasn’t trying hard enough :((.
I guess it’s nice that he’s happy now.

Cheating can leave emotional scars and trauma! Even though he faked it the other party thought it was real for a long time! If wonhae wasn’t happy he should have just left, why subject someone to such a hurtful experience?!
I value my work too, I dont think i'll ever be in a relationship as well if thats the case and another point to mention is that he can't really be openly gay so he really tries to hide that cuz he doesnt want to get fired or have a hard time at work because of prejudice. I personally think that is very reasonable. If you respect your partner you should respect their wishes as well. I don't believe the uke deserved new love so instantly like that, I honestly wish we saw the ex's new love instead cuz he went through a LOT of shit.
Our main couple is respecting each other’s boundaries and not pushing the other beyond what the other is uncomfortable with.
Wonhae wanted someone who doesn’t mind showing off their relationship to the public but doyun fears for his reputation at work. If they can’t give each other what the other person wants then I say they’re better off with other people. I just want to see the author give Doyun a significant other since Wonhae got whoever he wants.
Don’t give up on love, you deserve to be happy with someone who respects you and the work you do. Negotiate when you guys don’t agree on something. A relationship isn’t a game. Making your partner jealous in the long run out of spite will only hurt the other person at the end of the day, and not resolve the underlying problems.

Not really, why would you care about what others think of you? At the end of the day it's YOUR life and YOU decide who you are. You should not force yourself to change just because of others. This makes me feel genuinely sorry for all the people that have this kind of mindset just to fit into our judgmental society.
No actually they're right. It's easy to say "oh just live without caring what others think" but in reality, you are always going to have that feeling of being judged. Some people just have a thicker wall to block it out, however you can't just expect everyone to automatically switch to that mindset. Some people are just natural cautious due to past trauma, experiences or the environment they grew up in. It's fucking difficult to build that wall up, and not everyone can deal with that amount of pressure
Oh, of course I'm aware of all of those things you mentioned that's why I feel sorry for them, and I'm not expecting anyone to just switch like that, it's very hard i know, I myself had (still kinda have) that mindset of trying to change for others, maybe the way I expressed myself wasn't the best, but I just wanted to remind some people that mostly it's them who are in control of their lives and should not forget about it.
