ok divas I finally did the mental calculations bc I could not remember how closely related they are and the implications were driving me crazy. Glasses is eunoh’s grandpa’s brother’s son. another way of phrasing that: he is his first-cousin once removed. most ppl just call this person aunt/uncle, since technically they are your parent’s cousin and are most likely around your parent’s age— in glasses’ case, it’s specified that this is grandpa’s YOUNGEST brother can explain why glasses is closer to eunoh in age.
Lock in for some half assed biology I didn’t fact check so feel free to if I’m wrong: you share roughly 50% DNA relation to each of your parents > so 25% with THEIR parents (grandpa). eunoh’s dad and glasses share 12.5% DNA relation by virtue of the fact they have the same grandpa (eunoh’s great grandpa)
