im amazed with how dumb sovieshu could be. In fact ive never seen an emperor as dumb as him. hes considering the fact that he'd ruin the country by making some dumb girl empress rather than just toss her away for the sake of it. has he never realized that navier and him were literally trained to become emperor and empress, and that some random kid cant just become empress just because the emperor loves them? like wtfadgjagdagj this guy has loose screws in his head istfg the novel infuriated me I can even begin to start with sovieshu's stupidity. he basically ruined his own country.
Tbf he understand Navier is the perfect empress, he only plans on making trashta empress for 2 years, his real stupidity is thinking Navier would stay in the background and continue doing what shes doing just to get the besmerched throne back. I wholeheartedly understand why some people may feel empathy for the emperor. And I did too, but thinking back, he chose her as empress because she was incapable to produce a child. And now that he broke off Rosamund, it gives her a reason to explain why Patrizia will never receive the long end of the stick even if it was in reach. The emperor is a piece of crap, and he'll always be. he can change himself as much as he wants, but it won't change the fact that he's selfish and naive. In her past life, he treated her and her sister like shit all because of Rosamund who he knew he didn't actually love. Im glad that Patrizia isn't immediately falling in love with him, and understands the circumstances of protecting her and her family.

In a way, I love how much of a realistic situation is, and how the mc's personality has a foundation, unlike some others ive seen with just an inconsistent personality who "keeps all the pain to herself but then forgives everyone who apologizes" (ofc im not talking about all mangas, just to set an example) the mc is upset, she has every right to be upset, and she isn't obligated to forgive someone right after an apology. some are like that and some arent, that's what I love about this manga, it places really realistic situations and decisions people go through depending on their personality.
in the beginning my heart clenched a lot since ive been through this type of thing before whereas my boy friend (yes, with a space in the middle) had a crush on my best friend, and what's worse was that I really liked him. I endured it for a couple years and honestly it was the worst, I was so young and so stupid so I thought keeping quiet was the best thing to do. but eventually I got over him though he moved to Japan so they couldn't be together ;(
you know there was a period of time when I read this part in the novel, and I remember being so enraged that every time I remotely close my eyes when I was trying to sleep, I'd see trashta's and sovieshit's face. I ended up not sleeping that night tbh. They're absolutely disgusting, they have the nerve to pose themselves as the victims when they were the ones tormenting Navier. Not @ sovieshit getting mad about his dad getting a mistress and then getting one. He's pure scum, the lowest of the low. Who tf in the right mind would throw away their country for a slave concubine. Let alone sacrifice the empress. the funniest thing is that everyone respect's Navier, they know she's a good empress. I just cant believe how fucking dumb Sovieshit is, how dare he get worked up when Navier was trying to escape his and trashta's torments by talking with Heinley.
