I think it the depends on the character backgroung, i think romance is fitting for this story, it's not about revenge of any kind, is just a lonely dude that is learning what is like to live in a loving enviroment and getting strong for the sake of protecting his loved ones, so is very fitting for him to fall in love(▰˘◡˘▰)
Tomb raider king is all about revenge and second comming of gluttony is about surviving, there is room for romance in both of them but is not as fitting

I checked it again to see if it was updated but the site said it was taken down at the request of the publisher and that they were currently in negotiations. Damn, and it was getting good too.
