hey hey! okay so, what happens next is:
- lucia will throw a large scaled tea party as a requirement of her participation in the social season. she decides to introduce damien as her son in that party so that by the time damien is older, he would be well-known as the heir and have connections.
- the garden party was absolutely pretty and amazing. however, the duke had to leave for the whole day since there was an issue (i forgot what it is specifically). a lot of women attended since lucia is the duchess.
- one of the women who attended is an old lady who 'controls the northern' high society and is the rival of lucia's etiquette teacher/kate's grandmother. This old lady is a Countess.
- when the tea party starts, lucia introduced damien but then nobody welcomed damien. nobody clapped after his introduction or smiled or anything, they kinda ignored him or stayed silent.
- this is because the countess, aka the old lady, rejected damien and started the reaction of ignoring damien. this rejection is called a 'party break'. a party break happens when one of the attendants of a party silently protest an aspect of the party to the host, when it happens it ruins the atmosphere.
- when the countess did the party break, lucia grew mad cause it meant the countess and her fellow old ladies didnt like damien and want him out of the party.
- instead of sending damien out, lucia said to the party attendees that she was disappointed in them and that she would not invite them again for the disgrace theyve shown her, she then said that the attendees should see themselves out since having to escourt them out was a courtesy she doesnt give to those who disgraced her.
- lucia ended the party just minutes after it began.
Woahhh, and then how does the duke react to this??
- the didnt hear about the event til he came back to the duchy later on that knight.
- thought Lucia managed to look angry and stoic a during the party and when she forced her guests home, after she cleaned up the party, she began to cry because she realized that this might impact damien negatively.
- so while she cried, she apologized to damien who didnt really think much of what happened. this is where damien began to think of the lucia as a mother instead of the duchess.
- because lucia cried for a while, when the duke arrive for dinner, he noticed lucia's tear stains and red eyes and asked what happened.
- lucia kept quiet and the duke got impatient. He called for jerome, the butler, and asked why was his wife in this state. Jerome told the duke about what happened and was pissed.
- lucia told him to not interfere with high society since it was a woman's job but a few hours later after lucia slept, the duke asked jerome to gove him the list of attendees of the party
- the duke made sure to threaten the husbands of the attendees during a meeting and the duke especially investigated the countess' aka the old lady's husband. the duke cut off his investment for the count and the countess which impacted their business.
- the duke basically went behind's lucia promise not to interfered and made sure they know that if they mess with lucia, they are messing with the duke too.
Imagine having someone after your lover? Who has manipulated, sexually a**aulted and yet still willing to enter the place where he is most vulnerable? Sure, he's acting batshit crazy but when I really think about it, I would do too when the odds are against me.
His enemy is someone favoured by their grandmother. If he makes one wrong move, everyone is fucked and the enemy gets away scotch free. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I get that he is scared and worried but doing this behind his back and even going as far as to make sure and never leaves is crossing lines (￣∇￣")

actually tho, i really hope there is more character development in the temple since it seems to be hinting at one. maybe its about how our FL will be more warm or be more willing to express her emotions?? maybe about our ML and his emotions?? idk, i feel like there's something more in the temple arc beyond the captain falling for her or something. just my thoughts
i enjoy that the primary focus of the manhwa isnt entirely romance but more of a woman simply fighting for her right AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

disclaimer: i read this in the comments a while ago here in mangago but I can't find the specific comment for credit. this isn't my spoilers and i have no idea where to get the spoilers. ANYWHO, i wanna share the spoilers since I wanna see if its legit or not.
- Duchess' little Sister, the Saint, begins to face criticism of the capital since people began to notice that after the disappearance of the Duchess, events began to flop/have mistakes in them. This pushes the Saint to ask for the Duchess' help (not sure if it was help or for the Duchess to go back to helping the Saint despite being a Duchess). Saint asks this when the Duchal couple go to the capital for a visit I think.
- Little Sister actually falls in love with the Duke when they visit cause of how the Duke treats the Duchess so lovingly. She tries to persuade the Duke to marry her and ditch the Duchess. Obviously this fails.
- Little Sister is revealed to be incompetent in the basic learnings of a lady (household management, accounting, etc) and is also bad at politics despite saying she is good at it. No doubt she's good at the sword but that's it.
- Little sister is apparently a white lotus? (Acting all saintly on the outside but have different intentions on the inside, basically a fake bitch)

Tia is amazing and I love to bits but it genuinely felt painful to see her reject Cedric knowing they have feelings for each other. Truthfully, I hope after this arc she might realize a few things and have a better relationship.

all of the spoilers are stuff ive read in the novel, please check novelupdates for the chapters!!
- Rafael meets up with Cayena in the Academy to discuss the building they will build in honor of her.
- While Cayena is waiting for Rafael (since she arrived early), she sees a bunch of students bullying a boy. She confronts them and finds out the boy they are bullying is her half-brother.
- Half-brother looks more like Cayena than the Prince and is very handsome at a young age. He is also a genius in the sword. When he meets Cayena, he is wary but after a while, he become to adore and love Cayena.
- The principal goes to greet Cayena but Cayena starts dissing him and the academy for letting bullying take place. She then acknowledges her half-brother as her sibling which means if anything bad happens to him, she will respond as his sister.
- Cayena takes half-brother to the clinic to get patched up and to change clothes. Rafael arrives but she sends Olivia to greet him while Cayena is busy with her brother cause she is treating him.
- Rafael is surprised to see Cayena with her half-brother. While Rafael tries to escort Cayena, half-brother gets jealous since his sister is precious and Rafael isn't adoring his sister enough. They begin to have a competitive relationship on who loves Cayena more throughout the book.
- They venture and decide the building. Half-brother leaves to attend afternoon classes and Rafael guides Cayena to dinner. Rafael then confesses the he wishes Cayena would treat him more closely after Cayena tells him she wants him and Olivia to be close. Cayena realizes she still has feelings for him and decides to think over later.
- after the meal, as Cayena was boarding her carriage she notices the horseman/driver to be different and asks Olivia to get something she forgot from the academy. She whispers to her that she might be kidnapped and asks for help. Olivia obviously goes to Rafael as Cayena's carriage leaves.
- Cayena was kidnapped by that creepy dude in the library, Viscount something. Viscount wanted to kidnap her and disgrace her so that she has no choice but to marry him. Luckily Cayena knows him well due to her past life experience and threatens him that if he does anything she will shoot her face.
- Viscount is obsessed with pretty things so he is shocked that Cayena knows and doesnt do shit. This buys Rafael time and she is rescued.
- While this is happening, Julia, the blonde lady in waiting, serves the prince some refreshments. She begins to like the prince. (Minor spoiler: she is a little annoying in the current story arc but she becomes a bad ass queen later on so bare with her char development) She leaves. This is when the Rezef the princes hears his sister is missing and breaks his probation to save her.
- When Rezef arrives with his knights, Cayena is already safe and with Rafael. Rezef then questions why Rafael and Cayena are together. Rezef decides to kill Cayena's nanny so Cayena won't gain any more chances of freedom/power.

Omg I forgot to clarify but Rezef kills Cayena's nanny because Cayena is currently the Head of the Inner Palace which means she can dismiss and appoint employees. Since she already did an inspection with the employees and shown that she isnt afraid to dismiss/punish people, it means she is willing to weed out Rezef's people from the Inner palace.
The Current Head Maid is Rezef's nanny but if Cayena brings her nanny back to the palace, it means she might dismiss Rezef's nanny and appoint her nanny as the Head Maid. Having a loyal servant/person as a Head Mead helps since everything that happens in the Palace will go through the Head Maid thus boosting Cayena's power.
