This ladies and gents is what we call a Gary Sue（￣へ￣) :
1) Why the hell is this man so lucky??? I just binged 40 chapters and he hasn't struggled with anything in the slightest. When are authors gonna learn perfect main characters are boring as hell. It's not fun if everything just goes his way.
2) Either make Seo Ahrin more interesting or kill her off already. Quit spending time on showcasing how weak she is WE GET IT. She's literally so boring and she doesn't serve well as a love interest either. If you're gonna try and make your own 'Yoo Sangah' then please start using the better parts of her character already ORV gets a pass since they had so many other interesting characters for so long before she got interesting. This doesn't have enough that I can justify giving her an iota of my attention. Either way my point GIVE HER THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT SHE DESPERATELY NEEDS OR DISPOSE OF HER!!! (this isn't just me like hating on women or anything since I'm a woman myself she really just pisses me off because she could have potential this whole story does it just needs to turn down the edgy)
3) This is just a personal complaint but why must everything be "Solo Leveling-ified" if you get what I'm saying? Every new action manhwa man just looks a different variation of Jinwoo. Like I can tell what you're doing shit didn't look like this before Solo Leveling. But now it's like every protagonist coming out these days always looks at least inspired by Jinwoo there's no way I'm imagining it!
Agreed with everything except the 3rd point maybe they look like jinwoo but you gotta understand that there's millions of characters that look like each other in the manga, manhua, and manhwa world it's just the way to draw characters is similar, physique preference is also similar these days and there's the fact that everyone likes black haired characters...tho I agree in seo ahrin part u wouldn't like her to be even a romantic potential for him in anypart if I'm okay with someone it'd that friend of his
I totally agree with a lot of things you said! But for the first point I would say that he has a lot of experience, but that's merely the only reason. To be honest, I would forget everything if I was him lolol
That's the most unrealistic thing about these regression and villainess isekai manhwa lol the protagonist always manages to remember literally every important plot point like unless you all have a photographic memory there's no way that would work lmao
I completely understand that don't get me wrong but you can't honestly tell me you haven't noticed the rise in the power fantasy edge lords always having black hair with that no definition look (see mc's whole black scythe persona plus when he dressed up in formal wear when he first went to go meet blonde ceo) and the certain way the eyes glow I think I really only remember Tomb Raider and Solo Leveling looking like that.
I won't judge to to much since this is Korean and most Koreans have black or brown hair. But that specific type of art style is something I remember being distinctly unique to Solo Leveling and now it's like every Hunter/Action/Male Isekai kinda has some elements taken from it.
That's just how it looks to me though it might seem like a reach but I have literally seen what almost looks like traced scenes from Solo Leveling line for line in other manhwa and I know other people think the same to as it's been a complaint for awhile. It's fair if you don't see it though my original point with saying this though is that I want to see some more creative character designs on dudes.
