I held on up to chapter 5 to see if this would be worth my time. There's just too many logic leaps in this, my suspension of disbelief can only last so long.
So the rich lady that hates her guts and her family just had to pick her out of all other women in the world, supposedly because she's easy to control (ignoring that actual surrogates exist). And not only that, but she expects the female lead to get pregnant by having raw sex with her son-in-law. She has enough influence on a hospital to kick the female lead's mother out, but can't arrange for an artificial insemination.
I can't even turn off my brain and just enjoy the smut because the sex scene is ridiculous. The female lead's proportions are absurd, she's super thin but her boobs are huge, each the size of her head. Her body is not supple, even when she's laying down her skin is not drawn like it's relaxing on the bed. Basically the artist drew a plastic sex doll.
Also we're supposed to believe the male lead is feeling horny for the first time in his entire life, because she's the one he's having sex with, even though he knows nothing about her besides the fact she accepted to get pregnant for money. Am I supposed to believe this is him falling in love?
There are other comics with similar premises and not so shitty writing.
I agree with everything but the surrogate part. Depending on the country, a surrogate can change their mind and keep the baby, despite having a contract. Also IVF wouldn't work if she's known for miscarriage (ML wife, if he'sactuallythe ML).
Now, they could've just done IVF to the FL, but im guessing they want to keep it low profile and didn't want ML wife's genes in the fetus.
Korea apparently has strict laws with IVF sperm donors and other stuff. There was this celeb that wanted a sperm donor but it wasn’t allowed because she wasn’t married. That’s what she said but idk the complete law tbh. She is Japanese so she went back to Japan, which she could get a donor even if she’s single but the options were small. In the end she went with a European donor
Yep, I saw the same celeb and there was A LOT of judgement.
Over only the last few years it seems that S.K. celebs have been open about issues with infertility and IVF. At least from what I've seen.
Also, the small head thing is actually a South Korean beauty preference But the other proportions are insane haha. Again, beauty preferences to some extent and I've noticed it tends to be the case in Josei-like manhwas that their proportions appear so out of insync at times.
We got some unblurred chapters. Now I can really enjoy the toxicity of this. I've now read chapters 1 through 5.
My first impression is that this uke is such a dummy, I'm already getting secondhand embarrassment. He puts Taerim in a pedestal and makes everything about him. We're not even halfway through and I already want to tell him to stand up.
And why the hell did he hit the table with his fist while remembering his friend having a seizure though? That was so weird... Why would the author do that if not to show that he has anger issues? It feels out of character with everything else we know about him.
The premise was so interesting but in the end it doesn't look like Baba senpai genuinely fell in love with him at all, it feels like it was just convenience or he felt like he had to repay Soba-kun for saving his sister. The author tried to make us believe he really fell in love but the writing is not giving that at all.
Frankly, I think this was doomed from the moment Soba-kun revealed he came from the future. It would have been better if things happened a little more naturally. I would rather have Baba senpai be rude for a little longer in order to see a genuine change in their relationship later.
It's only the first chapter and they already had gotten married, divorced and suddenly she's getting woken up by her son because she had sex with her ex-husband. What the hell? It makes you wonder when all that happened or if it's missing frames.
The art is not nearly beautiful enough to make me stick around to see if it gets better and the other comments don't make it sound better either.
The age gap is creepy but the yuri drought is too strong to skip on this so I'll just have to fool myself into thinking they're age appropriate for each other.
She's definitely over 20, closer to 30 judging by:
- When Rebecca shows the file to Kiara (end of Chapter 1), Kiara says Daniela (blonde girl) is 14 years younger. The translation doesn't make it clear whether the one who is being compared to Daniela in age is Kiara herself or Rebecca. That doesn't make much of a difference anyway, since Kiara and Rebecca speak casually, which indicates they are close in age.
- Kiara says Rebecca should charm Daniela with the appeal of being an older woman.
- Rebecca is drawn with wrinkles typical of the design of characters in their 30s.

This comic is the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, yaoi gods!
