Well if you cared to read, it was because of an old artifact he had with him. That artifact used to be able to show his original form, but it has been a very long time ago since, so the artifact's power must've been reduced. But because of the first "treatment," his curse was reduced enough to the point that the artifact could work.
I know about the artifact. What I'm talking about is when the part where they are confident that the curse is cure and the mc ask for his name, we can see that his skin turn bright and his lower body's skin is brownish meaning that his skin is white. But then when he look at the mirror and realized that the curse doesn't really go away his skin turn black again. Maybe it was a metaphor that he feel despair even though he just got his hope up getting cured. Besides, the artifact doesn't show his original form, it was just a from that the artifact made up for others that see him.

And the curse has been too long so whatever original form he had got fused with or as someone else had said : corrupted: his body so it no longer looked like how it used to be. And he sees himself as a monster now. But whatever form it was the mage was ok with it.
The second hand embarrassment really get to me like why did he have to lick his tiddies like that . Half of the story, the plot become messy after the beta came like there's something missing making the passing become weird to me I can't explain it tho the art downgrade a bit. the eggs we normally consume is unfertilized (the white and the yolk) .even if the hen incubate the egg it will not hatch to a chick
