This is honestly one of the best things i've read in my entire life. From start to finish this series did not miss. This is genuinely so good - started off like a "cute" slice of life concept that really felt true to a DND style party getting to know each other; until SHIT LITERALLY HIT THE FAN absolutely insane that the author managed to set up so many subtle hints of it while giving us that cute starting part. nothing felt like it was thrown out of nowhere it was all planned and well executed - ALL THIS HIDDEN BEHIND A WELL DONE VEIL OF COMEDY I CANNNTTT htis is so good. Highly reccomend.

YOOO AFTER 2 YEARS WE CAN FINALLY COMMENT AGAIN YIPPEEEE!!! Anyways though, this was very bitter sweet. this is a really interesting consideration: what WOULD you do if you could sell your life. Granted the author didn’t really cement the world building into place but the characters themselves make the book a good read. Very short and simple of a story but makes you think.

Hmmm we all know how Kuarn is a bitchass fuckface but I think he’s GENUINELY too poorly raised (hear me out) to realize he was abusing her in the first place. If he’s also a bastard child / fake, and was ALSO treated like such, maybe when he got the “favor” of the family when his magic abilities developed, his mentally destroyed brain (from the abuse that probably happened with him) he coped by comprehending his abuse as “ that’s just love” but a lil pt of him still knew that how he was treated wasn’t it and it resonated more when he saw how our FL was being treated but again, the abuse in his childhood didn’t let him act properly. Either way, he’s absolutely thick headed to realize he was also abusing FL instead of “being nice/affectionate” and turned out however he did

I’m kinda getting the feeling like he’s just like any other older sibling just slightly more violent and insensitive. He definitely does too much but I think he has the same mentality my brother has where “it doesn’t hurt me if I get jabbed in the side, you must be weak.” It’s like he knew they would hurt her but he didn’t understand how bad. Plus him not knowing the extent of what her dad did didn’t help, because then he probably wouldn’t have been so cruel to her. Btw my brother doesn’t abuse me, we just fight like any other siblings.

An absolutely hilarious story - I’m utterly blown away at how many times I cackled and yelled “YASS QUEEN” at 4 am but here we are :) Honestly the ending is a bit unsatisfying but I’ll leave it to my imagination to hope that dipshit prince and dumbitch Margaret is getting ripped into shreds :D. My only qualms are that the women deserve better lovers but as long as they’re happy … anyhow! I highly recommend this. It’s a super easy read and isn’t quite as lengthy as other stories!

Hey guys! So I’ve seen a bunch of people wonder where the good translations are and theres a second upload of this translation! It’s the second “chapter 1” and beyond! I think it was picked up by another team and they basically retranslated everything til the end! I just found this out myself so eheheheh I wanted to spread the word!

Alright so I just finished binging this and I cannot compliment this story enough. Although the premise may be quite unorthodox, the story and characters itself are a treasure to behold. I think what has me hooked especially, is the development of the characters and the romance. It’s realistic -as realistic as this plot line could be - and it grips the readers until even the last chapter. Natsumi’s guilt is visceral as it pulls the readers into a frenzy of emotions and trauma - I don’t think I’ve seen a representation of a loved one’s death done this well. From the very moment you start reading, it’s a battle between Natsumi and her mind and the readers FEEL it. Her overcoming her circumstances become none the more satisfying at the end of the story (also her mom and her last talk made me cry hardcore LOL). The other characters, of course, are just as delicately done. The fact that there’s no true villain in this story leaves me extremely satisfied. This plot could only work so well because of the realism - this situation would rarely occur in real life, however the reaction of the characters and their genuineness makes you convinced of their dilemma and no matter the character - from our rich boy Togou to the pained darling Haru, you truly feel for each and every one of these characters as if the reader was going through these events themselves.
Overall, this was very well done and I highly recommend this story.
I saw so many people cursing out celebrity girl but when it comes to ex bf they’re like OMG!!! FLMC EVIL!!! MANIPULATION!! r y’all fucking illiterate or has ur education failed you this badly that you cannot read subtext. I’ve only seen a couple people emphasize the nuance of EVERYONE IN THE SITUATION!! I cannot believe you guys are like “omg cannot feel sorry for this bitch” abt FLMC when she was ok with having a one-sided crush and went so far and beyond for his family just cuz she liked him that much, but MIND YOU!!! SHE WAS CONTENT WITH THEIR RELATIONSHIP UNTIL HE WAS THE ONE WHO ASKED HER OUT ROMANTICALLY!! I think both of them have issues - he clearly cannot differentiate the experiences of others and goes by his responsibility sake but she was not the one who started everything here.
Also with toxic celebrity girl - no doubt she’s got problems but FFS like she’s literally admitted to herself that she’s behaving badly albeit by differing her own responsibility onto him. THEY ARE BOTH FLAWED INDIVIDUALS!! With her status and environment she’s never had anyone truly say no to her - IT MAKES SENSE THAT SHE DOESN’T CHANGE. SHE SCHEMES BUT THAT DOESNT MAKE HER EVIL?? SHES HUMAN. HES HUMAN. THEYRE ALL HUMAN AND WE’VE ALL MADE MISTAKES !! THAT IS THE POINT OF THIS STORY!!! Why tf do I only see people annoyed as hell by the female characters when the male characters also have flaws and have done flawed things!!
Yeah, I've seen a few people point out Yoomin's flaws. But I haven't seen people talk about the FL's ex badly, other than saying he's a little weird or that he might be gay. Yeah, they all have flaws but the ML's ex's flaws are more unlikeable. Compared to the FL, who I can tolerate her selfishness since in the end she hurted herself. But yeah, at the end of the day, it is called "The Selfish Romance"
its sad to see the people hating are probably all women too :(( it’s not like she didn’t really care abt the teacher and it was her ex asked her out first lol
