I think the FL genuinely is not aware the ML is an alpha and thinks he is a beta. Or has this already been cleared up?
the author is just poorly executing the plot, but she genuinely doesn't realize that he is an alpha. i think it's kind of funny honestly when they've TOLD her VARIOUS times that her boss is an alpha, and he is the boss like lol
Apart from ranting on how he hates the idea of "other men touching you". He literally gave the FL ZERO explanation regarding his past and prior relationship with Akina. Or more importantly why he brushed the FL's hand when Akina was present?
Whats worse, the FL makes no effort to get the truth or a better explanation from him she forgives him too easily.

You can see from the story that the queen doesn't like her husband as a life partner, more like a friend and it looks like she wishes that the FL and ml get together, while she wishes to go back to her country, it may be the fact that they still married in name , it bothers me too, it feel like he's cheating but he isn't since she know and approve of thier relationship, but I think they will make a 2nd ml for her to fall in love with so this won't be an issue, I like her as will and I want a happy ending for her , but if she was the fl then the it becomes another story , that what the author originally had in mind
I feel you, it's hard to get into stories with "cheating" partners for me. Even with consent from the other party, it's still cheating.
