For making the mistake of showing kindness and sympathy to someone who clearly did not deserve it. The big reveal of this is, Minjae was the real villain of this story all along.
Even his "trauma backstory" did not justify what he did to Eusang.

Ikr. I've read a couple chinese webtoons and light novels and seen some their manhua adaptations being uploaded here but they are so F*CKED UP. There are many that are just but the manhuas either tweek the personalities of the characters and/or create such a horrendous art style that just contradicts the feel of the original work or even the story itself. Fucking art style kills everything that I love （/TДT)/

I'm sorry, I love Spoon and her work. But I'm not a fan of her slicing out key moments between Athy and Claude for the sake of giving Jeanette a bigger story arc and "character development". I've lost anticipation to read chapters.

In the novel jeanette didn't get as much coverage. If you read the novel the novel you realise a lot of scenes that focused on Athy and Claude's relationship and bond was trimmed or cut out in favor of putting the spotlight on Jeanette.
Of all people, Spoon chose to "build their character" she chose the least likable and dullest. Why not Athy's mother Diana?
reading more about athys mother would’ve been much more entertaining definitely.
honestly i'd like to read more about anastacius before aeternitas took over his body, but jennette lore is really good too. she's not "dull" or anything, it's interesting to know what would happen to her when she finds out the only reason for her existence is because aeternitas wants to control her body.
