There are very few mangas that can mix the dark with the cuddly.
I think the degree of how much it's wrong can be decided by the victim's reaction. Whether he can accept it or get traumatize by it.
That is if we are talking about being elastic, and my very personal opinion. Morally speaking, all of the things you said of course are wrong. But we are not talking about reality here and a story stays as it is. No one actually commits a crime.
Besides you can't even count how much horrible plots used to make a story(comic, novel, and movie) since forever.
Not trying to be mean but maybe you need to look at the tags before you start reading yaoi or take a break from yaoi and read regular fluffy stuff. I mean just saying...
Of course many mediums (comics, novels, movies) use horrible plots all the time, but isn’t the amount of plots of this nature in yaois especially overwhelming? Is it not the least bit concerning how many mangas use this type of “move” to begin the story or advance it?
I agree with you that the degree depends on the victim mostly. See, to me this would be sexual harassment bordering on assault - Grabbing someone by the hand, tossing them to the ground, pulling a dick out and masturbating in front of them while holding their hand in place. Thinking about it like this eerily remind me of the Harvey Weinstein case, and that was in itself to creepy to comprehend. Now I need to get that image out of my head.
And still, ofcourse I know this is just a story, and that is exactly why I’m willing to keep reading it.

You do have a point there... But I think my brain is the problem, for a story to click in my head it needs to be a little bit of everything, but the least one is being fluffy. Not to say I don’t have a manga or two that are all fluff.
I think I mostly appreciate well written mangas, doesn’t really matter how they start. Maybe I did jump the gun with this story. I was assuming it won’t be well written because I’ve seen this plot so many times before (and still read it almost every single time). But even while writing the original post I was hoping I was making silly assumptions and that’s exactly why I said I would still read it hoping I’d get roped in again.
I might just take your suggestion in a different direction and get more into the mature/psychological/gory mangas (￣∇￣")

Maybe the only thing I understand about Wonhae - is being upset and hurt when your lover dismissed your feelings, as if you wanting to spend time with your partner is such a far fetched idea, and you should be oh so understanding when they for months on end keep putting you off and pushing you to the side...

So Yona’s flashback is probably about her own mom. She probably was assassinated. Suwoon’s mom is the actual descendant (cause she had the illness too). Maybe both their dads fought over who gets to inherit the throne, Yona’s dad probably had a good/reasonable reason for why Suwoon’s father ended up dying. Zino’s gonna end up laying some knowledge about Suwoon’s illness, and the two doctor buddies are gonna fix him up. Just Great (full on sarcasms up to here)
The only thing I care about is Hak destroying border on annihilating first Suwoon’s “Sword Master” whatever that means and second his advisor.
Also - Nice one adding Hak saying he “couldn’t hear any footsteps other than Yona’s” meaning he’s gonna have a hard time fighting that sword master. But hey, who doesn’t love a good challenge ╮(￣▽￣)╭
They didn't fight for the throne. The previous king gave the throne to Yona's dad. Because he had a more peaceful way of approaching things instead of SoWoon's dad who was a warmonger
