Dude I am so excited to see the redemption arc after the regret arc. Of course, Leo isn't the only one to blame but he pisses me off nonetheless (partially because he reminds me of the green haired bitch in another manga who literally broke up and avoided his loving and devoted boyfriend because they weren't in the honeymoon stage anymore (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 ). I get that eventually the honeymoon stage ends, but you still have to work on your relationship everyday afterwards. If your boyfriend feels that he won't be listened to, that's a problem too, because Leo has jumped conclusions and assumptions before truly giving JJ the space to talk. JJ wanted to wait until Leo was sober to talk on the night they broke up, Leo began to make dramatics, in the night before the flashback, Leo asserted he would listen to JJ but began to hit him with his assumptions "where you paid off? were gonna leve me regardless?" Leo even brushed off the idea that JJ could just be friends or giving tips to the other racer, and just assumed that JJ is sleeping with the racer - not considering how devoted JJ was. He didnt even think about what JJ meant by they need space, which sounds clear if you consider that JJ was trying to save their relationship by allowing their lives to be less intertwined so they could be a couple, not just something closer to fuck buddies.
Honestly, JJ could have communicated better but where is the line? Should JJ be the only one aware of their issues? Should he be the only one starting the conversation? It seems that all JJ wanted was for Leo to text or call him to talk things out, but instead Leo let his ego win and still expected JJ to take the first step. It gets exhausting to see one person doing their best, even at their own inconvenience, and their partner overlooking everything because they finally showed how upset they are.
Rant over, I want my redemption arc badly lol
There were a few odd lines throughout, so my guess the r- line was maybe "attack you" not anything else. But yeahhhhhhhhhh, cute story overall
After re reading I realized the older brother is such a massive hypocrite. It turns out, the older brother's father had multiple human partners. And it kind of is weird that he applies two different standards to his parents, where one can have multiple partners and the other can't. Not to mention that it further shows that the older brother is following the fucked up logic of the village, where they essentially can own their partners and are superior to humans. He doesn't view the MC as his own person but rather as a possession to own, which Coro also did at the beginning until he started being more considerate of the MC. Not that Coro is 100% better BUT the older brother is nothing but a jerk who wants to get rid of his half brother and nephew to own and impregnate his childhood crush - who btw, may not even be the correct brother by some theories floating around!!!!!
Aside from the fact that the older brother may have confused Yurito and his older brother, I think he may also not know everything about his mother's story. I get a feeling that his mother may have originally been with Coro's father, but either through magic manipulation or some sort of threat, their mother got with the older brother's father. After they had the older brother, his father may have realized that his mistress would not actually love him or maybe their deal was over, allowing their mother to go back to his actual lover. It's speculation but I just think that because the village admired the older brother's father, they either didn't realize the truth (just like how they are now not suspecting anything being wrong) or they are trying to "protect" the older brother from the truth due to their biases. My thesis is just that the village sucks and is biased and I would hate living around them. Just theorizing and stuff lolol
Man I sure hope we have an uke chasing seme type of arc, that sounds like a dream. But I do have to say that MC (uke) sounds so exhausting, he does what he wants without caring about his boyfriend's feelings about it. First chapter, MC has his fun and leaves ML high and dry, in the following chapters, MC is out partying and what not, EXPECTING that his bf is just gonna show up to deal with his shit. I get why everyone feels bad for ML and not MC, because they can see that MC has gotten comfortable with their relationship the way it is and the ML appears to just be putting up with his bf's shit, rather than enjoying the time they have together.
Not to say ML is all clear, because he SHOULD have communicated with his bf earlier. There is no excuse to not communicate that he feels that their relationship is not secure and that he feels they need to work on it. However, him being this loner introvert type, I do get why he wouldn't feel 100% confident in discussing it because he feels that his bf would not actually listen. He feels that he's more of a tool than an actual partner to his bf. And I can see it based on the fact that his bf would ask multiple questions without actually waiting for an answer and would jump to conclusions rather than sitting down and allowing his bf to just speak.
As another commenter pointed out, they both need time apart to grow before they can truly work out anything. But I still want an MC chases ML arc hehe.
Beggers can't be choosers. You are doing one thing illegally already by reading on here, so you don't get to be all picky about translation quality. You aren't paying for a service at all, you take what you get. If something better comes along, sure take that, but you can't demand quality translations when you aren't paying. If you don't like the translations you get, don't read 'em. Wait for something better, but don't act like you deserve something good when you aren't paying the author for their work at all.
It's frustrating, because I think most ppl complaining are acting like children or are children. Reality check! Shitty translations on illegal websites have been a thing since forever! If you've been on here for a long time, you know this, and you're gonna have to deal with it. Be grateful you at least get something, some manga stop updating completely or only get raw scans. I swear, some people need to stop being shamelessly entitled when they don't even buy the official chapters.
Ok, I get people's frustrations but I don't really agree on putting all the blame on MC. First, he knows nothing about Coro's species and how to raise their child on his own. Coro forbade him from entering the mountain further and didn't actually explain much about their child's growth, meaning MC only had his own limited knowledge about raising his son and had to rely on Coro a lot for child care. When Coro began to go crazy, MC was left even more alone trying to raise his child without the necessary knowledge and you could see he was struggling. When Coro was finally taken away, MC tried to take care of their kid alone bc he knew Coro didn't want him to go to the mountain, but after a while he couldn't do it anymore and was forced to rely on Coro's brother. The brother’s intervention actually seems to have worked too, because the baby was more comfortable within the mountain being taken care of by others from his species. So MC already was in a vulnerable position not because he is dumb but because Coro didn't think to give him the necessary information to raise their kid. Two, the MC is surrounded by a village who whole-heartedly supports the brother. Coro was the product of an affair and the brother seems to have resentment about it, which is why he wants to screw over Coro by taking his bride and kid. The brother is literally influencing MC through magic or smt, because MC seems to be forgetting Coro and other details after spending time with the brother (who in the latest chapter clearly messes with MC's head). The other guy knows the truth but says nothing and the village seems like they would not question the brother marrying someone with a beast kid already (unless he's planning to also get rid of the kid (⊙…⊙ ) ). No one there, except maybe the old man who took care of Coro, seems like they would have the decency to actually question the brother and to help the MC because it seems the villagers would not think the brother could do wrong (let's remember that although they could be angry at Coro's parents for the betrayal, they decided to also hate Coro who did nothing wrong but be born. And it seems they respect the brother A LOT as well).
Again, I get the frustration but the MC has the cards stacked against him. Yes, he's too trusting and native, so he's not making all the best decisions but he is also struggling to raise a beast child on his own with limited knowledge and support. He's exhausted physically and emotionally due to his hubby's condition and when someone helps him out he's not only taken advantage of but brainwashed as well inside a place where he is strange and unfamiliar. Anyway rant over.
Based on the comments, the whole jealousy arc may happen or at least they are still not communicating. I liked the precious series but I can't bring myself to read this one for some reason, like they are in a relationship but neither is actually talking about their feelings. It's realistic for sure and it makes me want to cry (hyperbole) bc neither is technically wrong for feling the way they do - Kang is insecure bc of their age gap and Yiyoung feels like Kang does not see a future for their relationship. The problem is that this sounds like a problem that requires a talk, not more insecurity and misunderstandings. Kang can't truly understand that Yiyoung is sure of their relationship if he is seeing over and over that Yiyoung is flirted with bc that feeds into the idea that Yiyoung is going to experience new things and maybe grow past the relationship. It's not Yiyoung's fault but it's going to feed the insecurity. On the other hand, if Kang continues to feel insecure without talking, he may begin to push away Yiyoung or do something terrible. In both situations, Yiyoung's fear is validated and he loses trust in the relationship, which may lead to a separation and it will solidify Kang's feelings of insecurity. I don't know, I want this series to end with a good talk because or else I'll cry for real.
╥﹏╥
Based on the raws and some mtl, Leon may be going through changes in his body for better fertility according to Mephisto. Or it may be something else, but the point is that according to Mephisto there was no pregnancy bc of failed fertilization. He doesn't really know what's going on, but this isn't revealed until 2 chapters from now.
Good news for haters of the dark skinned dude (cannot remember his name at all) he's around for one chapter and he doesn't do much. Good news for the ones that love him, the scene is pretty sexy.
Also, we may get Beryl and Leon afterwards and maybe for a few chapters but the raws are only two chapters ahead.
Based on what I have read, I think an actual conversation (heart to heart) is more necessary than a jealousy arc. Of course that'll only be the last solution because DRAMA, but MC accepting being around a super flirtatious dude just to make his lover jealous only proves the point. It'll look like the MC is truly interested in exploring relationship options, and in an extreme scenario may even be let go by his lover. Lowkey, they may even have a small separation or break up bc one wants to prove a point (which could be better expressed if he reaffirms his stance that 'although I do not have extensive relationship experience, I am a grown adult with confidence in this relationship and I want to be treated more as an equal despite our age gap because I want this relationship to work') and the other is losing confidence in their relationship (which could also be better expressed as "I fear that our relationship is unequal and that while I have had time to grow and develop, I do not want to stop you from doing so as well and I want to make sure that you are not wasting your time in a relationship that may not be the best possible one for you to have'). I say all this mostly cause I understand that some people may feel like their partner settled for them because their partner has had no other relationships for comparison, which can feel like one is holding the other back, especially in an age gap relationship where there is a natural lived experience and maturity gap.
Anywayyyyys, I wanna see them sit down and talk because I fear the jealousy arc will only further prove the lover's point and drive them apart because people aren't psychic. You can't know what you aren't told and if the MC is uncomfortable with the point and speaks about it rather than play games, there is a higher chance of his lover understanding why his words were painful as they showed a lack of trust and understanding about the feelings of the mc (as he is treated like a young naive person rather than as a proper grown adult with the ability to make his own choices about his relationship despite not having much experience). Not interested in a single thing besides the younger brother and the guy he works for. I need the backstory on those two cause they are the most interesting parts of the story to me (≧∀≦)
