right like one chapter they are introduced, next chapter they are gone. i can't feel satisfied by the revenge if i don't even know the character. i feel like they were just added for funsies and as a sad attempt to keep the dying plot alive

i 100% read tgcf, xie lian met hua cheng as a child VERY BRIEFLY. he didnt make a conscious decision to intergrate himself into a childs life over a period of time and have a large part in their upbringing like whats happening here

i also just dont support mxtx, i like xie lian but mxtx is a weirdo who likes putting rape in her stories and doesnt understand grooming

abel met karas briefly too. they were only together for 2 months. and considering how much of a devout follower hua cheng became, i would definitely say that xie lian had a large part in his upbringing just without being present. just like abel did. he simply wanted to save karas. he didn't want to become as important to him as he did. also they're literally the same age now. mentally and physically. this is not grooming in any shape or form and labelling it as such is just undermining real life grooming that is done intentionally with malicious purposes that we see a thousand cases of every day. it's not mxtx who doesn't understand grooming. it's you who wants to be too woke and throw around the word grooming like it's meaningless bc you don't want to differentiate between context cause ig that's too difficult for you?

im not talking about xie lian and hua cheng when i say grooming, I'm referring to her other novels, like svsss where the mc is the teacher of the ml who is 14. i DIDNT say that this manhwa nor tgcf were examples of grooming, all i said was that mxtx doesn't get the concept of grooming because shes always had a weird thing with age (another example, the mdzs extra where wei wuxian has a lucid dream where he has sex with 15 year old luo binghe)

i NEVER SAID that abel was a groomer, all i said was that i don't like when authors create stories where a character will meet another character as a child, feed, bathe, clothe, and teach that child, and then suddenly bam there's a time skip and magically there's no problem because they stayed the same age. i don't like that authors create this kind of story because it has a weird intent. i seriously don't understand why people get so mad when i say that its weird

Reading this was so hard cause if u read the book and u preceded to say all of this u literally just missed the point yes he had a huge impact on his like cause he literally SAVED him and they meet VERY briefly, Xie lian did not babysit him, he didn’t practically raise him like Abel did (I like Abel and know they’re going to end up together but that’s not the main point of this comment just to let u know) the difference between Xie lian and Abel is that Xie meet him breifly didn’t babysit/raise him for 2 months or more but Abel did, Abel was brought in as a caregiver basically and the kid knew that, Xie lian didn’t so that for Hua Cheng, and mind u I don’t know where u got grooming from but both Hua Cheng and whatever his name is from this manwha choose to like/be obsessed with them (Hua Cheng CHOOSE to follow and obsess over Xie lain, so no it’s not grooming nor is it ironic to hear this comment from a TGCF fan)

I won't be comparing with the manhua bcs i barely remember it, but abel and karas relationship is still weird tbh. I'm not saying abel groomed him or that their relationship is the most problematic out there, but the writer can literally do anything with their world so i don't get why they made abel an adult and karas such a small child. I wouldnt be against a small age gap like 2 or even 3 years depending how old they are, but this ??? It's so unnecessary. On top of that, even if they're the same age now, its kinda weird to be in a relationship with someone you knew as a kid when you were already an adult...
