Yeah, I knew about that being Shonen-Ai but sometime those story have the romance more like a sub-plot ? It isn't the main plot and I wouldn't be surprise that it's the case here where they have a kiss & confession near the end and call it a day just to wrap up this plot line. A bit like "Half of Me" if you also know about this one.
And just to be clear, I don't know if it's really the case here, I could be 100% be wrong and the "second" part have a heavy focus on the romance between MC & ML. But it didn't give that vibe ? Idk, again I could be wrong.
