It was the other way around, right? Kazushi was the one crying and Tatsumi was the one who sat beside him.
It’s just a metaphor of sorts cause now he’s the one that’s crying not the other. It’s not literal.
This is in my perspective , I think that the real scene was really kazushi. But the mangaka recreated tht scene by switching the roles to show tht tatsumi dont hv to be alone anymore afraid of using his voice again. Since kazushi will be there listening cus he wanted to.
Like bfore tatsumi was the one comforted kazushi by just sitting beside him but in fact he needed someone to do tht too.
The good thing about the super slow update is that it's been so long you'd have to reread from the beginning and get the chance to experience the emotions again.

I have the opposite effect. The very few chapters make events way more memorable. Reading 1 chapter a month means I have fewer events to remember and I usually can either jump right in or just skip through the previous chapter and then read the new one.
Fewer things happening makes it easier to remember I think.
