Bought my copy of Seven Days (Spanish version)
I don't know how many times I've read this but I love it every single time and getting an English copy took time and luck. I can't even read Japanese but I got it cuz I didn't think I'd ever find an English copy, I'm so glad I see someone who actually also buys some manga. It shows support for the manga industry = more manga to read
I actually prefer a physical copy. But unfortunately can't buy everything I want. Especially there are lots to choose from. I wish I won the lottery.
I can't buy anything online since non of the payment methods I can use. Even if I could, my country charge extra for international payments. So it will double the usual price T^T
I can only buy in stores and my country never sell yaoi/BL mangas until not to long time ago. So buying BL here is very rare. I was so happy I found this in the store. Both volumes with no extra charges attached and with discount even.
Buying online cost way to many for a single book. Could have bought 2 in store with that amount.
HOPE MORE TITLES WILL COME AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN MY COUNTRY. (For now only a handful are available.)
I also managed to buy some other English version mangas while I was on vacation in UK for 1st time. So I can only buy mangas when I'm able to do so. (≧∀≦)
Oh my gosh... SAME!!! I love physical copies and I'm poor so instead of using any spending money I get on clothes and stuff, I use it to buy books. International shipping sucks for me as well so I've never bought anything that requires shipping fees, they suck There's also the problem of too many books top pick from but I've been collecting stuff for years so it builds up.
Story on how I got Seven Days I didn't mean for it to be long but it turned out this way. Scroll down until the STOP if you want to skip it. Or just skip to the bottom last paragraph cuz I think I went on another blurb... Oh wait, now this warning is becoming a blurb... I'll stop now
There are locally run bookstores I found a few years ago where I live that can always order books for you (unless it's out of print) directly from the publisher at a minimum discount of 30% off and I've saved TONS with them (but it's all used to buy more books...) I rarely buy books at market price anymore, I'm too cheap for that I just need to pay upfront when I give them a list of things to order for me. The problem was that "Seven Days" was out of print in my country and Amazon prices were like $100 CAD per volume, I was devastated The bookstore can get any English books still in print, which is where I now buy any book I ask for, but I couldn't even buy the Japanese version since the bookstore has no connection with overseas publishing companies. I can't buy things online from other countries on my own. A few months later I found an old local bookstore for Japanese stuff and the lady had connections and helped me order the book in Japanese for a decent price (way less than $100, it was like $20) so I went for it thinking that I'd NEVER get a copy of the English version so I might as well get a Japanese one (the total was like $40 which I think is fairly decent considering both books were shipped to her from Japan and we brand new). That's where luck came in. 2 months after that the same bookstore posted images of a complete set of "Seven Days" in ENGLISH!!!
LOL you and me both. I think I got more collection than having clothes in my closet
( ̄∇ ̄") Can't have both. Must always sacrifice something. But since clothes can be bought anytime of course I choose my merch/manga/anime which can be sold out anything. If there's a chance I would definitely try grab it ヾ(☆▽☆)
But gosh I envy those who can have everything ╥﹏╥ I can't get anything w/o any help from others either. But can't keep asking favors all the time. So it took me years to get my stuff. It was so much worth the hardship when finally get it in my hands.
┗( T w T )┛*tears of joy*
So true but in a way, having everything would make the joy of collecting and running into deals non existent and I love the feel of when I search and wait for so long and I finally get the book, I'm like the happiest person in the world
The store clerks at those two shops are more than happy that I order locally through them. They are by no means an Indigo or Chapters (the deals that they sometimes have aren't that great, especially in terms of manga), but they're so friendly and buying locally helps them continue! The best I can do to repay them for helping me purchase things is to be their loyal customers. The bigger stores don't really care about you but the smaller local ones are like "hey you're the girl who keeps buying graphic novels ! So what'll it be today." Or "oh you're back! Sure I'll help you order it
To bad my only local store here can't order imported books/manga. So my choice is limited even though they wanna help, but can't 'coz they not allowed to do so.
I wanted to buy all Ten Count volumes, but my country publisher can't published it even though that's on high demand. And also they not always choose another title of the same author. And since they already published Seven Days they won't be publishing her other works T^T maybe in near future.
So the only way to get it is true Amazon or something. But I can't order online unless I found someone willing to do it for me. Also it's hard to ask a favor of buying YAOI mangas if the cover are so obviously Gay (^///^) LOL
My country just not used to this stuff yet (≧∀≦)
Slowly this gonna change, so have to wait another few years. Hopefully the whole world are more open for Yaoi/BL someday. So hope more people are gonna buy the handful of titles available, so they would sell more titles of this genre. Right now they are careful about it. Thinking not selling well
I've considered buying Ten Count but I live with my family and I don't dare speak of LGBTQ stuff since they're religious af. Idk I don't see myself as religious, nor do I really like any of the believers within a religion so even if the religion isn't bad, I just can't tolerate most of the believers. There are people I've met who're pretty religious but still retain their chill and nerdiness so I'd be glad to be friends with them, just not every person in that religion. I've heard them say "Oh no no, not good" towards an IMAGE of a gay person. Some old people are just really narrow-minded but then again, my parents weren't raised in such an open culture while I might as well have been born here. Just having Seven Days, just one shounen ai, feels like danger...
On another note, if you ever visit Vancouver Canada, I can hit you up with as many yaoi books or any book that's in print in English at a pretty big discount and possibly Japanese as well. You can get lots of yaoi just by going into one of the big brand bookstores, but the prices there aren't worth it and waiting 3-4 weeks in return for a pretty big discount is more worth it imo.
(≧∀≦) thnx for the offer. Unfortunately can't afford travel. It took us lots of money just to travel to UK for 1st time like forever just to able to visit relatives we haven't seen in years. (Not to mention setting aside some pocket money to buy souvenirs. LOL instead of UK souvenirs all I bought was some yaoi books and other Japanese imported goods).
My dream is to travel to Japan someday. Sadly that's even more expensive, taking account hotel and food cost. In UK we just stayed at relative house.
The rest of relatives lives in Asia we never able to visit. Only contact through messages and by mail. We just cant afford the trip. Relative in UK has helped us pay the trip in order to visit them.
Oh I got a friend ,that I met online, her family are super religious as well. So she secretly bought 'taboo' merchandising and gay mangas/artbooks etc. Even bought all available Ten Count volumes in English. She has to hide them pretty well 'coz it was uncensored.
If family finds them she might get into trouble. And her dad is a cop even ( ̄∇ ̄")
O shiet the world should just legalize yaoi already and the world should just accept everything. Too bad there's selfishness and literary censorship on things that go against a high authority's rules. Literary freedom is such a luxury. I don't get how sometimes there are very "adult" books easily allowed yet is such a big deal to let other genres join in. Like, most of my family stay out of my book collection since there's really just lots of novels and shounen manga. Hiding one or two things is easy in that sea of books for me but it's sad that anyone needs to hide them in the first place. The world needs more freedom~

Just ordered my copy of this manga in Spanish (2 volumes complete) Now waiting for a msg to pick it up in the stores (≧∀≦)
Where did you get it? I speak spanish so I would like to know where manga in spanish is sold...
I got vol.2, but unfortunately vol.1 wasn't available. :/ I waited almost 2 months so I cancel the order. But I found vol.1 online and now waiting for it to be delivered. The store called Librería Arigato. Google it up. They got a store, FB page, etc. (Can't give you link sorry) In Spanish it's called: "Los deseos Obsesivos de mi Chico".
You've to hurry 'coz only few left online now
Omg, thanks a lot! ヾ(☆▽☆)
You're welcome
