I'm glad the translator made it clear that they don't support whatever this manhua is all about. Same goes for me, just because I read it doesn't mean I enjoy and like it as a whole. There are some aspects that I do find interesting, but it's still inexcusable for them to be together. Their circumstances just made them meet and overlap their sorrows together.

I’m really glad someone relates, because I only left that little note so nobody would get the wrong idea about me. I usually enjoy fluffy BL, but never that kind of stuff. I only picked this up since people wanted it to continue, and I thought it’d be a good challenge to take on as a translation project.
I’ve already translated the next chapters, but I’ll be honest — I’ve had to take breaks here and there because it can get pretty overwhelming. I’ll keep going, but honestly… aside from the small video game elements (which don’t really matter anymore now that they’re living together), this story just feels really problematic. I kind of hope the author moves on to another story that’s more on the fluffy side.
(And, well… I’m not sure if it’s okay to admit that, but yeah.)
I think it’s really important to have many different kinds of stories, so people can explore and express different feelings—even the darker ones—learn new perspectives, and better understand others. Media like books and comics are a safer way to tell these stories without exposing actors to such overwhelming experiences, especially the younger ones.
But I believe it’s even more important to show how wrong these situations are in real life. We can experience and even enjoy the stories, but we should never normalize them. In real life those actions are wrong and they have real consequences.
That’s why I really appreciate it when authors or translators make it clear that the themes are sensitive and that they do not condone those actions. So thank you, Rindo, for the message and also for translating this story—even if it’s not your preference.

Right, I wanted to say that I completely agree. People might call me hypocrite but I seriously do not enjoy seeing this psycho guy pound a poor boy who only experienced misfortune in life. But I've also read a lot of more disturbing than this. Unlike those who make it their personality to become and consume morally disturbing media—there are those who consume said media because they are attracted to the other themes/aspect of it. Hell, I watch and read one piece because I love the story not because I support men lusting over women and harassing them (ehem, Sanji).
People are abstract! But it's important to draw the line when it gets a little too concerning...(The people who support the couple of the story). Personally, I relate to the main character and want to see him succeed and heal in the future. That's probably the only reason why I'm still reading this despite being uncomfortable.

I feel so bad for Jiwon, honestly. It's not easy to be diagnosed with severe anxiety rooting from the abuse you received in your career. This is why it's important that parents not only think of what their child wants (thinking back that Jiwon liked gymnastics before the abuse started), but also their safety with the exposure of spending time with a different adult (his coach). Personally, it sucks how his parents didn't even know about the abuse until later on. It's often that when people are driven by one thing they believe they can do, they get desperate and disregard what's wrong about it. This "misunderstanding" won't just be solved by talking with ML, he seriously needs to go to therapy and somehow overcome his anxiety. He's not a public figure anymore, so his life shouldn't be exposed. It's wrong in the first place that journalists get so over the top and become like saesangs, and they should literally report and sue them.
Chapter 11 had some serious reveal on the plot, and I can't get a single shit. I don't even need anyone to summarize it, I just wanted to know every detail (A.K.A actually reading the whole thing) because the story is interesting. I know the translator did their best, but I just can't understand anything that I want to understand.

You're right. Maybe they did shit, actually. They claim themself as a translator when they can't even translate without the use of Machine/AI translation. Humanity is doomed when we can't even have reliable narrators fighting to overcome languages barrier.
Using a machine translation isn't such a huge deal if you put effort into it. There are a lot of translators out there that use machine translation and they use multiple AI to check their work and if they run into something that doesn't make sense they research it.
They also proofread and edit the translation. No translation should be one to one, you have to adjust the words to work in the other language. There may be different sentence structure or different pronouns, that sort of thing. You have to put effort into it.
This translator is working very fast but there's no effort.
This is getting a bit personal...I love Beom-hae and I seriously feel bad to him as a real life child of divorced parents (me) who had to constantly watch their parents fight throughout my childhood. It's a bit frustrating how complicated their situation is and I just hope they get back with the fluff and love their child.
