[This is just my personal opinion and overall review of the manga]
Natsuki and Takumi have been friends since childhood, but is 'being friends' applicable in Natsuki's case? He's been harbouring his secret feelings towards Takumi ever since they first met. "I want to protect him now" is how much love Natsuki feel towards his dear friend... Who keeps getting into troubles that is. Is it even possible to confess and express the kind of love Natsuki feel towards the slow and naive Takumi? Just as the title suggested, 'The Falcon Hides his Love'.
The art in this manga is exactly like the old manga art style. But the anatomy was great unlike other mangas with old art style, so I can say that this manga is definitely a great art piece if we're taking it from the past's art style. It was yet Mito Hitomi's great work if we compare it with their other works, but the art is definitely worthwhile.
The smut scene was rather vanilla, but it wasn't written properly on how the two protagonists struggle in attempting their first same sex intercourse. Thus, I do not recommend this to new BL readers. Other than that, it's your typical yankee uke of all times. Though taking it from 2000's perspective again, the authenticity is definitely there.
Not feeling as much with the plot lines though. After finishing reading the manga, you'll get the feeling of "Eh, that's it?". It's not that it was poorly written in terms of details, but we need more into the story. For this I suggest that the mangaka should've written more about Takumi's narrative to develop his character better in this story. It might as well been the scanlation team's mistake in forgetting to upload the extra chapter. Well, that's in case there is any written by the mangaka.
Otherwise, it is a good manga to read in your free time. Even though the total chapters are 6, you'll reach the ending of the story without even realizing it as the story dynamics just gets you addicted to know more about the story. I also don't recommend this especially to those who wishes to speedrun through all their want to read list... Take your time reading and you'll get the story. 1 star off for the lack of content.

Im bookmarking this, I- I sryls cant w the pain rn, its killing me to the point that its CONCERNING. I hate this author, why you gotta hurt your readers mentally emotionally, just write a beautiful painless story for once. Why you- Throwing all the pain at once to us readers, especially to a highly sensitive person like me. Yall can call me out or whatever but I'm not torturing myself w this much pain, not today

Oh... No no no, I'm dropping this. The story dynamics ruined it all. The plot lines aka plot ideas (alpla x alpha) were good, but whats this? A bunch of plot holes, I don't even understand about Heeyon's choices of acts. The author should've included his points of narration if they're going to write such misconception actions despite appearing as 'strangers' in the beginning of the story. 1 star off for the poor manuscript writing.
Now let's talk about the protagonist, it's just a straight no for me. Who writes a prologue skit as a summary and continues the story based on your SUMMARY. The story should've start from A! Explain one by one about the protagonist's life, mission to accomplish and what problem he has to deal with that awakens this possible love story. It's as if the first chapter is a continuation to a nonexistent prologue aka 'actual' chapter 1. Another star off for the poorly written story dynamics.
On the one hand, the art is good. The anatomy, facial expressions, SFX and backgrounds were all on point. I suggest the author should've added more bubble speech and dialogues that will leave an impression towards the readers.
Otherwise, this story is just 'not for me'. I don't suggest this for those who are looking to read for entertainment. Rather for researching purposes. To those who are speed running their want to read list? Just read the first 3 chapters and you'll see what I'm talking about. I wish I could've read more to see more writing developments from the author, but I'm speed running today. So no.
I read too many good novel with great plots so I agree with you... The story is okay but too much unclear stuff and plot holes and the the ending is too abrupt to me and it can't make up all of the earlier drama at all ~ but yeah the art is great, it was such a shame... Imma give this 3/5 stars (づ￣ ³￣)づ
