Well, given that she's a dryad she can't follow him. Dryad's are traditionally tied to the tree where they are found.
Though, it seems this one can travel to any tree she wishes. So I don't think we've seen the last of her.
I can't discount the possibility of a harem. But given his personality, it is hard to picture him with one. He's not exactly a chick magnet.

I bet the the Gates are created to make the hunters stronger so when "He" appears they will be able to fight him,and whoever is opening these gates realized that the hunters weren't strong enough so he/she set up the MC system so that he could get to the strength level of whatever is coming and maybe strengthen the other hunters (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
