Hilarious, and brilliant. This is the ultimate anti-romance: a blunt, unsympathetic uke and a seme who can't stop the weepy tear-faucets from pouring out every time he feels slightly challenged or overwhelmed. Together, they make a more realistic, sympathetic and hopeful couple than most of the dudes that show up in yaoi.

I think what keeps romance alive isn't stereotypes, but surprises. This one had the happy ending, but that was a surprise because it didn't look like the uke would get past his self-image, or the seme his insecurity. They did, after a lot of (very funny) gurning and churning, and the result turned out to be weirdly, strangely romantic and a lot more believable than the typical "barefoot walks on the beach" stand-in for romance (which doesn't come across as romantic, in reality, so much as no thought was put into this gesture and no attempts were made to scratch under the surface of this partner's personality.)

Sooooo ... is this a manga about dumping readers in the middle of a whole series of unfinished cliffhangers? And how could that extra actually be an extra? That is the start of a story, not the end of it. Grrrrrrr.....

it's not an extra, the so called extra actually a one shot or you could said 2nd story in this book and the latest update is the 1st chapter. What confused me is why the scanlator randomly upload chapters, why not translate it in order

I keep coming back to this manga, to poke at what's been troubling me, because it isn't just that the incest fetish is all-in-your-face. That bugs a lot of readers big time, obviously, and the incest trigger tag keeps getting shoved off the board by morons who want to call this shit cute. Which it IS if you LIKE baby-talk and infantilization, because even though the kid sulks and weeps and tantrums about being treated like a baby (*irony alert*), all it's missing is the pubic hair shaving, the diaper changing and the spanking scenes to make it appeal to those with age-regression kinks. So it's too much for readers who are squicked out by the da-da-poo-poo-pee-pee talk, and not hardcore enough for the fetishists. It's still hardcore enough to be porn.
Does Akiboshi ever develop a spine? Or are we going to watch him be steamrolled by grief every single time?
Sigh. I realize it's a trope to let the seme carry all the responsibility for a relationship in these traditional stories, but it would be nice to see Akiboshi flexing his emotional muscles a bit and showing some power in this situation.
I was really hoping that Kuzumi would be a less obvious villain and just a well-meaning friend but ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ i guess sometimes you just fall into a trope spiral
