This chapter was ...perfect. Like you said, it was funny, romantic with, as always, some painful sparkles proper to them.
I missed this Brett, laughing, chill, and teasing. Hayden doing absolutely no effort dressing up, says he didn't plan a thing, yet when Brett asks him what next after the lunch, Hayden rushes to check his phone and find something haha (even if it was something to annoy Brett)
All the lunch dialogue (monologue?) was interesting. Brett said surprisingly he didn't feel much regrets after stopping, and isn't even watching the matches that much, yet he's somehow regretful when other memories come and he wonders if the regret is from the failure or something else (just say it)
The last panels were so beautiful, especially with the couple kissing on the screen ...

So true i m like yess this is what I waited for in season 3 , honestly yes Hayden is trapped but he was trapped the day he has bonded on brett even after 2 years of gap can't make him stop thinking about brett, Hayden fighting between his instincts and emotions at the same with brett, his instincts tells him not to dance at the rhythm of brett but he always end up dancing on it not that I mind Hayden is actually cute at his own level this whole date was simplist considering how fabulous they could have it yet what mattered at the end they ended up enjoying it

This story gives me trauma i never had i have seen some crime documentaries when I was kid like this and this plot is not dark romance , seme behaviour and character is very much realistic of how men are when they can't get anything they get it destroys them till they gone but never blame their behaviour for that instead another person just like how he punched uke and blamed it on uke that "you made me do it it's not my fault" I m gonna be honest i swear new season gonna be lock up arc but of course they would end up together. Author focus more on emotional force here rather than rape. Which could have made it even worst.,,
tbh, i love how the author do it like this, but if they gonna make it more realistic, story like this always end up death. the ML literally crazy, like crazy crazy.
