I REALLY hate Daniel. Not because he is interfering between Mr. Shen and Zhen (though that definitely doesn't help), but because he seems to think that babies should act like and be able to do things like they are supposed to be just miniature adults. It is ridiculous. I don't care how good looking he is, or good at cooking he is, I would have walked out of his class the moment he suggested that babies should change their own diapers. I can't wait until this ridiculous class segment is over.
I have always stated that there are worse fates than death, and that if you TRULY want revenge on someone, you DON'T kill them (as that is FAR too easy). So yes, Xia Xu, let the bastard live. You did good!
Yes, he DID state that his family was being threatened by the vampires and as he was human. But do we KNOW he actually HAD family? Or is he just lying for an excuse? If he did/does, it is definitely more understandable. It is only natural that he would have been extremely scared and wanted to save his family and he should not be held accountable because in this world of werewolves and vampires, humans are the weakest and most vulnerable. But again, that is IF he isn't lying about having a family.
However what I find the most reprehensible, and the best reason to NOT forgive him is that the father's friend tried to USE Xia Xu to get out of the situation the easy way (death by having someone else kill you). That could have left Xia Xu with even MORE life long trauma and guilt (as he may come to regret killing in revenge and anger), since he is not the type to kill anyone who is not a direct threat at the time (I have no doubt he would kill to protect Bai Li, Luo Bo or even himself). For that alone, he doesn't deserve forgiveness. At least, not yet.
Seriously, this should have a saccharine cuteness warning. This is one of the stories that I like to read after reading a traumatic one, because it just heals my heart and soul....
And I am SO glad he truly appreciates Ge standing up for him and that he now REALLY wants to get to know him on the same level. Those two are adorable together!!!!
LOVED the main couple! Loved that the FL went to tell him about the pregnancy, instead of hiding it, that they were ONLY SEPARATED 10 DAYS before they BOTH realized they needed to at least TALK, and that they SAW the issues, admitted to them, as well as to their own culpabilities to the issues, and faced them head on!
The one thing I DIDN'T like? ... Okay, here goes the rant on Karmela....
I am sorry, but NO. One does NOT change SO FRIGGIN EASILIY. She was a vile, vicious person, and that doesn't MIRACULOUSLY CHANGE because of the "RIGHT PERSON" LOVING YOU! And the fact that this is NOT the only Harlequin or STORY OF ANY KIND that seems to perpetuate this myth PISSES ME OFF. It is a TOXIC belief that can get people killed in REAL LIFE because they believe the romance of stories where someone violent, stalker-ish or otherwise dangerous, can be "changed" by the love of a good person. And while that may be true in EXTREMELY RARE occasions, it is, for the most part, UNEQUIVOCALLY FALSE. People don't change that easily and NOT without a LOT of work. And while the presence of loved ones and significant others, CAN and DOES HELP, that presence and love, in and of itself, is NOT enough. And as mentioned, it takes a HELL of a lot longer than just a couple of months. Nope. I am not buying Karmela's redemption AT ALL. At least NOT without seeing her go through MASSIVE issues in a story of her own, where she is about to literally lose EVERYTHING to gain her sudden change of heart status. The fact that she had no qualms about ridding herself of her unborn child in such a cruel and vile manner (please note: I am not trying be be pro-life here, btw, and am not using this as a pro-life OR pro-choice argument), just to ruin someone else's life because he rejected her, shows how little she cares for anyone other than herself. And that is NOT someone who is easily going to suddenly TRULY fall in love with someone else. This woman will ALWAYS be a danger to whomever she dates, marries, or births! She is a psychopath, plain and simple.

So much better than the brother's and sister's stories. At least I believe it was the sister's story since she was a princess of Xavier and her dad looked identical to the king here. Since they never showed or mentioned brothers in her (Lucy's) story, and they did not show or mention her in this or Dominic's story, it is hard to say for sure.

I love this family, but Arien is SERIOUSLY gonna have to get some magic and some self-assertion under her belt if she is going to deal with what's to come in the future. I.E. her father and brothers acting like complete tools when it comes time for her to actually start dating. Cause that girl is gonna HAVE to put them in their place or they will cause a freaking riot! LOL
