Some of these comments being triggered by the "uncle". First of all dude isn't even an uncle. He's an incubus too, a literal demon who's taking care of Tsubaki out of love for his late friend Botan (uke's mother). They're literally s*x demons, why apply human logic on them? He never even f*ck Tsubaki, he was just trying to relieve him as a temp measure while finding him another human to receive energy from bc he didn't want him to be involved with Shiro who's part of the exorcist clan who killed his best friend/Tsubaki's mom.
I got a little pissed at Kana's passive aggression and attitude towards Naho, at his friends also especially Hakusa, but now I'm starting to see that maybe we have a case of unreliable narrator here. Naho's perspective has been warped once he realized that he's just average, so I wonder if everyone's attitude towards him is negative due to his own interpretation of events. Looking back I think Hakusa (the blondie) may actually find Naho cute, his paper crafts being funny in a cute and innocent way. He even made a tiny shuriken to trade and forced Kana to give him some of Naho's creations, so there is no way he's mocking him. Aoi also clearly thinks Naho is cute.
Also the fact that Naho has no friends in class in the beginning maybe bc his world used to revolve around Kana that he unintentionally left himself out of everyone else's circles. The moment he approached the 2 class mates they immediately invited him along, so maybe they're not talking behind his back, that's just how he interpreted it out of insecurities.
Out of curiosity, I read the raws for it (I'm Japanese fluent, but still prefer English), and you would be correct. Given the language that's actually used, they're not really making fun of him, and do find him cute. Particularly Hakusa, who's just being friendly in his own way. There's a cultural undertone that's difficult to express, but I think native readers won't see it as Kana's friends being mean.
His choices are the ass hole older bro or the creepy younger one. I find the younger one creepy. He's not much better than his bro, doesn't really know what consent is either and he seems to have hidden anger management issues and is more dangerous if he snaps. The emotionally repressed one is more dangerous I think than a straightforward ass hole
Most misunderstood character - CEO father. He seems chill af....almost naive when it comes to handling his children. If given the chance I'm sure he would spoil both, especially Mario, until they're tired of him. I want an extra of a proper family meeting not just at the airport, I'm sure a family dinner would be hilariously AWKWARD
They DESERVE to have a volume 2! I want to see them happy, blissful, rose-color days! I want him to get better and better at seeing people's faces, like that milisec when he saw the shop owners' faces as they kindly smile at him! They're both so genuinely loveable despite their trauma and circumstances, I need MORE of this wholesomeness!

It’s been almost 10 YEARS since I came back to read this once again, and I have gained new appreciation for this story. It’s not as simple as another “incest trope”. Back then I blamed the son for starting their unfortunate relationship, but now I understand that they were fated to be stuck in an endless time loop. Their relationship was unavoidable, bc if Ryou has never fallen in love with his own father then he wouldn’t have been born in the first place, since Konomi was initially drawn to the mother since she has the same eyes as Ryou. Their fate is a cruel twist, but they achieve happiness nonetheless, even if they will never receive recognition or blessings. In a way they truly belong together and were literally only made for each other.
