I would have quit this story so fast if it wasn't for the MC's response to everything. Dude is strong...like a brick. He's a whole different breed that we don't typically see in yaoi. The story is otherwise, trash, but I'm invested just because I want to see how he reacts to everything. I just want him to go beat up everyone.

Tao (scary lady wolf) is probably what’s left of Milena’s ruthless in-laws family (Bexan’s mom). Went back to look at her backstory and her dead husband, Pei, has the same cold blue eyes as Tao. They probably share the same affinity for crazy too since he killed Milena’s entire family to single her out, so she took revenge and did the same to his. Maybe she missed one, maybe Tao was the youngest sibling. Wonder if Milena will be the one to end it all or is it time for the young generation to step up. If Bexan comes back he’s gonna be involved in an absolute bloodbath

Yes! I hope this is a way to bring Bexan back into the story. Ein and Leto have SO MUCH side drama and suspense that it makes the first couple's story seems so simple and forgettable.....Like the only climax is Bexan finding his mom??? Then rejecting it and back to Japan to live peacefully as a doggie model??? Too easy lol! Poor Ein and Leto cannot catch a break!

I’m seeing some comments implying the director is a trans woman. That’s presumptive to say since he could also be cross dressing for personal reasons not yet revealed.
1) Eng trans can be misleading. Japanese language does not require the use of gender pronouns. Most of the time the subject is identified through sentence context. We’ve seen this in other mangas where two people go on a blind date and don’t realize they’re both males until meeting each other. Which means we don’t know if the director has been using she/her pronouns and if people have been referring to them that way. The older female doctor at the clinic definitely knows the director is a man, so maybe the gender pronouns have been left out this whole time but in English translation we were given “she/her”.
2) Family troubles/trauma. Director is envious of Shizuma and all the support he has and how he deals with others. Director’s father (from prev mentions) seems to want him to cut his hair (implies being against cross dressing), and looking at the pic in his closet maybe he’s cross dressing his (late? twin?) sister, and the short hair one is him in the pic. Also, Shizuma was not afraid to show off his gay relationship, and director envies that he’s so opened and people around him are so accepting of it.
3) Director is getting together with Tatsumi FOR SURE!

Ok the rape trope is not new to the yaoi world, and neither is the forgiving/brushing off/falling in love w your rapist new. But the rape in this story makes no actual sense??? Unless being drunk is supposed to somehow explain his behavior??? Akamine is not even the stereotypical yaoi character that resorts to rape, it doesn’t even seem to fit his personality/portrayal. It’s like a split version of him, but what made it even more confusing and frankly unnecessary is that this “side” of him never show up again??? He barely remembers that night, and nothing about him seems to indicate that he could or would even do something like that! The stereotypical yaoi character that resorts to rape/noncon s*x are typically arrogant, dominant, pushy as*holes but Akamine is not! Again, the rape makes no sense. And neither does the weird work drama at the end about the boss working for the mafia and trying to pin it on Akamine and almost killing them both…..like WHAT. This story seems like an acid trip or a fever dream…

Shizuma may be too nice to realize that his boss IS actually interested in him but that level of interaction is fairly normal for most people….just not Minato.
Some of these angry commenters need to re-read Minato’s backstory. His constant jealousy comes from PURE CHILDHOOD TRAUMA. His mother was possessive, obsessive, all the ssives! And she took it out on her children when she wasn’t getting attention from her husband. He was a terrible man in the end, but Minato unintentionally learned these relationship behaviors from his mother AND he sees everyone as a love rival because his father DID cheat. Older bro Itsuki was more grown when all this happened, so he’s learned right from wrong, but Minato was thrown right in the middle of his parents’ conflict. His mom offed herself in front of his school….out of failed love…and his dad was betrayed and killed by the very lover that Minato unintentionally delivered love letters from….Basically a WHOLE mess and Minato has a lot of emotional baggage! Shizuma is a saint when dealing with him, and no he’s not putting up with it, he genuinely loves him. So idk how ANYONE can blame Shizuma in all of this???!?!!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Spoiler as to why I’m upset with Shizuma.**
Before this, he and the boss went to the cafe after talking with clients I think. They went there because the boss wanted to eat sweets, and they spent like half a day there until it was dark. Before this, Shizuma planned to buy a gift for Minato and he didn’t do it because he spent half a day with his boss just for damn sweets. Then the boss told him to break things off with Minato because jealous partners are not good, thankfully Shizuma told him off. But even after knowing the boss disrespected his relationship, he still went shopping with him because I think the boss wanted to help purchase clothing so Shizuma can wear for his date. And then it was dark and he dropped Shizuma off, that’s the chapter we see currently.

I agree to this, Shizuma has a good kind heart but when you're in a relationship I think we should have boundaries in dealing with other people. And I think it would be good if Shizuma ask for Minato's advice instead of asking a girl to have shopping, since Minato said on the prev chapters that Shizuma can lean on him in all matters and Minato loves to spoil him yah know haha
This is the kind of comfort story to read right before bed if you want a nice, snuggly sleep. Warms my heart. It's like drinking hot cocoa before bed. The characters are so nice and softly drawn, and their love is also pure and fluffy, I feel healed...
