I've read this unrequited love for childhood friend many times, but I don't think this particular plot is done well. 3/5 stars for me, because I think Yukito's actions unintentionally lead to other people's unhappiness. I don't see much development from his character, at least not from his own will without some sort of push.
Yukito's inability to confess his love for Kei turns into complete avoidance leads to both of their unhappiness, but it's at least understandable since he's scared of rejection because Kei was originally straight. However, even though he *wants* to move on by sleeping around with different sex friends, he's closed off his heart so much that he does not care/realize Masaki's feelings for him, thus hurting another person in the process. Masaki was sprouting pretty shitty things when they ran into each other at the restroom and he even acted cold when they were sex friends, but I think this is his own defense mechanism kicking in because he realizes Yukito will never think much of him. His true, sensitive self comes out when he drops the cold front and suggests they date each other for real, even though he knows he may always be just a replacement, but he saw a glimpse of hope and decided to jump on the chance. In this case I actually prefer if Yukito moves on and actually gives it a true shot with Masaki, and Kei continues to remain the straight first love/older brother who supports him. This would lead to character development for ALL of them, but instead, we get this ending in which I just pity Masaki and not feeling much when seeing Yukito and Kei together.
It would have been much better if before they got together, we see Yukito sticks to his resolve. Quit all sex friends, confesses to Kei. However, once he hears Masaki has a girlfriend, he immediately seeks out Masaki again to look for advice (?), and immediately accepts his dating offer without a second thought, again, back to square one where he's just half-heartedly trying it out, ignoring his true feelings, and unintentionally hurting Masaki.

This couple just called me single in every language known to mankind. They are so perfectly sweet and in love that my teeth are rotting and I hope that someday in the future I’ll find someone who loves me just as much as I love them like these two.
I don’t mind if this manga just basically goes on forever. Show us glimpses of their past and their daily life. So wholesome. Will read this again whenever I feel sad.
Also, character design wise, Kaname is going straight to my best Uke list and Shima hands-down is my top 3 perfectly wholesome Seme. He’s literally up there with the likes of Shizuma from Therapy Game. I’m obsessed and cannot wait to see more work from this mangaka!

Every time there’s an update I get UNREALISTIC expectations for my ideal man because of Shizuma. FML I will never find love at this point. Why is this 2D man so exceptional??? He’s hot but never an asshole. He loves and respects his partner, AND he’s freaking smart AND an animal lover on top of all that??? AND you give him a big dick???
Please recommend me another Yaoi w a man as FINE as Shizuma. I’m starting to think he rarely even exists in manga world, much less in reality.

One shizuma to my table please?(╥﹏╥)

In the beginning I didn’t understand why Akira (Uke) keeps wearing his underwear during sex. Like it always cover his pee pee, so after sex it must be crusty dusty from all that intense horizontal tango.
After reading about his ex, I finally understood that he was trying to cover up his man-bits due to the past relationship trauma bc his ex always tried to get him to be more feminine (long hair, girl voice during sex, etc.)
Also, idk WHY Akira keeps on insisting that Seo (Seme) is straight?!?!?!? Does BISEXUALITY mean nothing in their world? Bc obviously the moment he got attracted to Akira to the point of sucking his nipple like a new born calf and sticking his sword into that sheath, Seme isn’t considered “straight” anymore!

"That's how he gets the wrinkles out of my butthole" - Seiji (Neko) wisely tells Chico (actual cat). I guess Shin's member really is like an ironing rod.
1 like 1 wrinkle straightened from Seiji's butthole. Excessive use may allow him to one day have a buttery smooth entrance for Shin's dick to moon walk right in.
Also, can we appreciate how realistic Seiji's body is for his age instead of the typical hairless, feminine, sometimes borderline malnourished uke? I love this artist.

Maybe Yuki turns into Yuuta because somewhere deep in the back of his mind he wishes to have a baby with Tomohisa. I wonder if Yuki's father found out and during a scuffle, Yuki ended up losing his memory so Tomohisa took the opportunity to run away with him. Part of him wants Yuki to stay with him forever, but part of him also knows it's wrong and he wants the real Yuki back, so he probably plans to return him to his family after their trip to the sea.
I'm DYING to know what happens next, it's been a while since a Yaoi can make me feel this way. I pray to the Mangaka and Yaoi gods that the ending is not disappointing!
Sounds like he got involved with shaddy yakuza. If he gave Nanase to the yakuza boss, Nanase would've been completely broken physically and emotionally. The yakuza demands for gang rape, kinda like if the toy is broken I'll stop wanting to play with it.
I think there were WAY BETTER OPTIONS for Minato to handle that situation instead of agreeing to hand Nanase over to be gang raped. Police??? Run away together? If Minato just told Nanase the truth and left then Nanase would've been fine, because he's not personally involved with the yakuza anyways, so if they start harassing him out of nowhere he can go to the police.
Anyways, I'm glad to how the story ends in terms of Nanase and Kei. They were made for each other, and their interactions seem so sweet I just want extras of their everyday life together. 5/5 for story line and characters (except for Minato, he should just lament in his mistake for the rest of his lonely life)
