Let's cross our fingers and wait! We need some closure! I can't think of a better suited ending for both of these couples. Plus it's the only thing that can make up for the relationship that Kan and Yumi lost, they truly loved each other. It just wasn't meant to be.
Me either and I hope the story goes to that route because to me it is really necessary to Yumi and Kan-chan (in order to move on) talk and make things clear. For sure I don't want them to be besties but, they were very important to each other in the past and Kan-chan needs to leave that ugly part of his life behind or he doesn't gonna be in peace with himself and his relationship with Shuuna won't last and I really don't want that.
Yes! Agree 100%! Whether they'll become friends (not necessarily besties) or not depends on how the mangaka wants it and technically with really good storytelling it can happen. This author is reallyyyyyyyy good at hitting the right emotional spots so we have hope
