I think ML always accidentally killed the guides he has been with. I bet he tried to find a guide that fit him that could handle him, but so far, he find none. And I think MC partner is death because he went to SS-class dungeon before. The side effects like he said is making the esper slowly go crazy and then going rampage. MC might known about SS-class dungeon better than he let on. ML said that I can't be that MC partner, assuming that he was an S-class Esper, losing control over his power. But he didn't know the possibility that MC's partner might have been to the SS-Class dungeon. Because like he said, nobody ever getting out of there alive. I had a theory that MC's partner and our ML now is at least know each other in the past.

Unrelated but am I the only one whose slightly bothered by how baby he looks like he looks off especially compared with other characters idk I’m on chapter 13 and it’s cool so far and he is an chill character but it feels like his face is getting smaller in an way
He has a baby face but his body is adult looking. Some people keep their childhood features despite the years and it's ok. It's like the famous Japanese baseball player Shohei Ohtani. He still has the most cute and innocent face features as 30yo man ^^
