I think Ash mentioned he didn’t tell his friends about why him and Hazel broke up so none of them know the true reason. I think Hazel probably lied to them and used them to get back with Ash.
Hazel is manipulative as hell by coming back to Ash even after cheating on him so he might’ve manipulated his friends too.
Ash is too kind and might’ve just let things slide but his friends are too dense to understand and were totally manipulated by Hazel since Ash refused to talk about it.
