5 stars! Highly recommend if you like fluff, family love, childcare and slice of life. The Shounen ai will still not appear so even if you dislike BL or Shounen ai you can still read this for now

Though MC seems a bit dumb in my opinion and kind of a show off. His personality and background story is superficial too. And the "heartfelt" moments doesn't really resonate with me. Reading it felt like accidentally eating the paper wrapping of muffins.

Anyways I'm loving this so much! The original male lead and female lead didn't turn into villains like how some isekai does. There's no 3rd party trying to ruin MC and Dukes relationship (except the duke himself -_-). And HE ACTUALLY CONFESSED?! (albeit somewhat indirectly but MC still wasn't so fking dense that I would get frustrated over it)
I hope these gays get over this hurdle soon. I bet the Duke just wants to protect MC so as a solution he probably wanted to lock him up away from the riffraff of the Demon Count, the King and the Temple trying to kill or take MC for themselves. (This is by no means a spoiler, just an educated guess)

Honestly it takes empathy and talent for storytelling to make your audience cry through your writing. And I think that's pretty cool.
The plot is PLOTTING! It's been 2 years since I last read this but now I'm caught up and even reread it from the beginning. Dang T-T
I just try to ignore the harem and fanservice cause of the plot. But when it's too much, I just skim those chapters... especially when that lecherous old man is on screen.
But still do give it a try! Aside from this being geared towards MEN with the fanservice and harem. The plot is actually decent, the drama too and the goblin characters are endearing.

My creative juices are flowing.
They both met in Amalfi, Italy back when they were younger when Painter Grandpa was working a part time job as a server in a Grand Hotel in Amalfi to fund his dream.
As The Painter was done serving a table the smooth jazz music slowly came to stop and what replaced it was a soothing piano melody. Looking up, The Painter saw a brown haired man with shoulder length hair playing the piano. He slows down his steps to listen to the piano more not knowing that he was absentmindedly staring at the handsome pianist.
After a while, the music came to a stop and the guests applauded. Waking up from his reverie The Painter sees The Pianist staring back at him. His eyes playful with a small smile on lips. Embarrassed, The Painter breaks off eye contact and heads back to the kitchen to continue serving the guests.
After The Painter's shift, he leaves the Hotel. After a full noon of serving guests, the stress finally kicks in and he sits on a flower bed to rest for a moment. Looking around the streets alight with a soft yellow hue from the streetlights with no cars in sight. The Painter sighs, it seems he's going to walk all the way home today as well he says
As he got up and patted his clothes, a light is seen around the corner and a motorcycle comes into view. Seeing a motorcycle and not a taxi, The Painter ignores it and walks home. The motorcycle slowly comes closer and as it was nearing The Painter, it slows to crawl.
"Hey!" heard The Painter. Confused as to who it might be, he looks over. It was a man in a black leather jacket driving the motorcycle. The Painter couldn't see his face as he was wearing a helmet but seeing the leather jacket and motorcycle one thing came to mind, biker gangs.
Scared, The Painter asks if he needed anything. The man, now next to The Painter, stops his motorcycle and gets off. The Painter fearful for his life shouts at the unknown man not to come near him and that he doesn't have much money, only a few Lira on him.
The man, confused as to why The Painter would think he was robbing him looked down on his clothes. Laughing, he took off his helmet. Under the warm yellow hue of the lights his brown hair looked like rolling hills of chocolate and his eyes like warm like a cup of coffee on a sunny sunday afternoon.
"It's me!" The man said with a laugh. The Painter recalls if he has met this man somewhere but he doesn't quite remember so he asks if he has met him before. Perplexed the man said with a smirk "You were staring at me quite a bit before but now you don't remember me?"
Recalling, The Painter gasps and utters "The Pianist?"
English Novel and Manhwa are ongoing.
The Good News is that the novel doesn't have the Romance genre or the romance subplot tag so that's a win!

"Only downside is, I'm a little sus that this might be harem or would have romance. I don't mind romance, but I don't exactly prefer the MC with any of the woman so far in the novel, and I wish the author focused more on the female characters and their personalities/backstories. It seems so sus that everytime a woman appears she might be interested in the MC, which is something I very much dislike in a story because it just smells of harem, and if not, just making every woman's personalities that of just "interested in MC", or what she can do for the MC. So it's very disappointing that the women are reduced a lot to just who they are to the MC, because I never see scenes of them outside him.... although to be fair, I don't see scenes of the squad members a lot when not in context of the MC.
I'm also beyond disappointed that the panther was a beautiful woman who was cursed or something. And of course she likes the MC, kind of. Why couldn't they have kept the adorable panther as just a decently powerful panther, are you kidding me? I guess it's why tr*sh of the Count's family was so good, because they never turned the dragon or any of the animal companions into handsome men or beautiful women like authors usually try to do."
