Ian keeps going for both guys there's nearly ZERO development
The art is stunning, that's it.
The plot is so confusing, if it were interesting, I'd care less abt the love triangle.
We've seen very very little progress with TJ compared to Jo
I'm team Jo, cause it'd make sense for him to work out with Ian, but the way the story is progressing, things aren't making.much sense.
Tbh, he can end up with either one of them long as the author makes it make sense, so far TJ and Ian look like a failed relationship and Ian is still going back to his old ways, the story started with Ian wanting a change but yet and still we're still in the same loop we were in when the story started.

Aside from seggsual chemistry we haven't seen any development with TJ, I can understand if the author makes him end game and it's fine as long as he stops being the toxic ex who won't let you move on.
The gang drama could be good but it's so poorly executed, I get that the author wants to make it a thriller/mystery but come on that don't work if you confuse your readers.
Anyway, this manhwa has amazing art and great smut esp the scenes with TJ, gotta give it to him, he's top notch in the smut category. But that's abt it, if not for the great art (coloring and shadows are chef's kiss) the story is getting boring.

Its so sad but good ending! Jumi deserves hibum. They are perfect for each other. So were hibum and his sunbae but unfortunately his sunbae chose his future and his mom over his love for hibum.
Basically he's got heavy sociopathic tendencies ngl I think he definitely is a sociopath
He doesn't even feel that much attachement to his own mother, all he wants is three things: Become a historically famous emperor, accomplish his expansionist goals (he wants to take over neighboring nations/ invade them) and have Luce.
He takes a crazy amount of time to understand that he loves him cause he doesn't know what the emotion of love is, he realizes it incredibly late in the story.
He deeply cares about politics and decorum, he's very arrogant and wants people to see him in a positive light, only Luce really sees his other sides, he's definitely most comfortable around Luce and he's most likely the only person he trusts after himself.
He's extremely violent and calculating, he's willing to destroy entire nations just for glory cause tbh his nation is already very powerful he doesn't need to take over other people's land, he wants to do it to be remembered as an exceptional emperor and to do that he needs to use Luce's hometown, Vera, which I believe is neutral ground.
Anyway, it's dramatic story, very entertaining, quite dark.
It does take him a long time to realize that his emotions are love and love means not hurting that person even if they don't give you what you want.
His priority has always been being a glorious emperor regardless of anything else, hence why he uses Luce. But then, that shifts, he throws it all out of the window because Luce becomes even.more important than that. Which is huge cause he makes his whole life about being emperor. Lunacy really fits the name cause so far it's just starting, he gets worse with Luce but it all gets crazier once his lunacy becomes less of a secret to the court. He won't even care later on, he'll just obsessively chase after Luce.
Though I gotta say both him and Luce are crazy. Luce definitely loves him, even knowing he's a lunatic, but the prince fumbles the bag many times cause all he had to do was ask and Luce would stay. Instead he hurts Luce and his pride making Luce not want to be with him. Again, the prince is a noble prick who does it all through violence plus he's really young so it all takes a while. But the ride is very interesting.

Right, it takes two to tango, though I'd definitely say that the prince is waaaay crazier. Luce does make a lil more sense in the book though, since he definitely has a love-hate relationship with the prince and does understand that he is manipulating him, still he has feelings for him, but he does the responsible thing and leaves because he understands that their situation is horrendous.
That's what made it spicy and toxic but I love it, it's very specific and detailed in books how Luce is very much in love with Ail but he indeed leave several times.
Yet he comes back, every single time.

He mainly goes back to him because ngl the prince does get a little better, I think that many also have it in their interest to have Luce stick around the prince, since it comes to light that he's an absolute nuthead, Luce seems to be the one person that stabilizes his behavior.
This is definitely one of the better dark romance stories out there, the couple is interesting but the political games that drive their decisions are also interesting.
Haven't finished the whole book but I can say it was really a fun read.
Right!!! The politics and royals stuff, Ail's every steps was so so calculated and it cost Luce heart breaks because he couldn't understand and never care about politics.

No offense gng but when I accidentally clicked on ur pfp the first thing to come up was alpha buddies...so like given the fact both these story's dont have the best art and the plots aren't notable idrk why ur acting like anything made this story unreadable.

Yeah Alpha Buddy is fine, not the best but yeah it's alright. I guess it's preference as you said, it's to each their own.
Jo is not really a red flag, the characters are quite realistically written, Jo really likes Ian and in the moment he of course chose to help the person he liked over a strange guy who attacked him. Idk why y'all think his reaction was so bad, as Ian just said in the preview of S3, he isn't used to high stake situations like those.
This isn't really comparable with TJ's situation, him and Ian initially became gangsters to find a way out of poverty, then TJ wanted to go up the hierarchy to protect both himself and Ian, then at some point he became more into being a gangster than anything else, hell, he was even constantly putting Ian and himself in danger because of money and power, and because he wanted those two things Ian no longer became a priority, he became his hidden secret. Ian wanted someone who wouldn't hide him and who would genuinely like him so he could have a healthier relationship. TJ can't give him that stability and won't make Ian a top priority.
Jo remains to be explored, so far we've seen that he's serious about Ian and keeps trying to prove himself to him, this time he tried in a really.messed up way but then again he's a regulat civillian, so he's not used to this much violence.
So far, I'm hoping he's endgame because he's the healthier option, we still have to wait and see how Ian works through his insecurities and trust issues as well as how both his violent world and Ian's fun world will merge, there's bound to be some mess. Let's not forget abt Jo's cousin who has ties to Ian's past environment.
Also, to add to the paragraphs written by the girls saying chase isn't a bad guy.
It was mentioned in the novel that unlike other dominant alphas dude has more empathy.
Remember that all are said to be sociopathic leaning, grayson (chase's older brother) is especially lacking in empathy.
Chase is empathetic and he doesn't release his pheromones with others. So they build up and he becomes a mess.
He's also a major introvert, he enjoys his alone time and is very picky as a person.
Mind you, dom alphas get targeted by ppl in this universe and he doesn't like being in crowds anyway.
He's also very much depressive and lonely (and he can be sui c dal).

Tbh Jjk's past is messed up and sad but I'm still waiting to see what possibly turned him into the kind of person he is and more importantly WHY did he treat Dan like that and why did he take advantage of him?
Seeing the kind of past he has, he was determined to turn out different, he seems quite aware esp as a teenager of the destructive behavior he grew up and around and how he shouldn't take on certain habits.
But why did he turn into an abuser himself especially with his partners? And kim Dan of all people?
Idk y'all, seeing how aware he was as a teen and how "square" he was, it doesn't make sense to me why he became how he is..
I’m guessing it has something to do with his father’s sudden passing, I doubt he had any other way to process it, and it doesn’t seem as though he ever had any really helpful adults around… even with the coach and his mother, it wasn’t like they could focus on him alone, and despite the values getting instilled in him from their care and positive impacts, there wasn’t really enough time for him to unlearn what he experienced before.. plus, his coach wasn’t all that compassionate despite his great intentions, and his mother was elderly… it probably didn’t help that as he was trying to be a good person, that was also the time when his life went particularly downhill… it would be hard to keep your morals alive when every reason you had to do so vanishes at basically the same time.. and the way his father died probably was just the straw that broke the camel’s back..

To add to what you said about the coach, I think he is a great example of what one can do with limited resources, as he said himself, he did everything he could for those boys, but it just goes to show you that each kid needs more attention on an individual level. I also feel like he just isn't as nurturing as the grandma, which I'm sure jjk misses a lot. The coach and the granny couldn't stop those kids from facing poverty later on either, idk, goes to show that poverty can be a vicious cycle.
Also, I'm wondering if jjk sees his younger self in Kim Dan or maybe he reminds him of his mom? Maybe he even feels jealous because you can tell Dan grew up getting more affection from granny, something I'm sure jjk constantly yearns for.
He definitely sees himself in dan… I also think since he has a bit of a self resentment thing going on he acts particularly harsh towards him because of it, despite also being softer on him for the same reasons… and I definitely agree that his coach did his best considering the circumstances, although I can only imagine what happens after this chapter…
