Some ppl are way too hasty, I feel like too many readers complain no matter what happens...
The pacing is great rn and things are making sense. This author knows how to work a redemption arc so trust the process.

Tbh I feel like there's been way too many readers in the community (probably younger ones) that dislike seeing characters take time to process their feelings.
While it's true that communication is great, sometimes ppl communicate and still don't find the best words to reach each another, sometimes they're not ready yet and sometimes it's okay to not communicate right away.
If everyone has it all figured out in EVERY story, it's neither realistic nor dramatic enough to keep us around.
But they don't seem to get tht! Would u tell a writer who writes about horror and death for them to stop because its scary "bad" and disgusting? No! Like they just dont appreciate all the trials these characters are going through to get where they need to get

Bruh if I’m being honest, I js read for the pretty pictures. I started reading Jinx when I was new to BL and got emotionally attached, but for this (like most other BL’s in my library) I just turned off my brain.

Tbh one great example of a couple who does things the rough way is the couple in Shutline, the art is stunning and though the smut scenes are getting slightly better, it's still really subpar for a manhwa this famous.
Great art doesn't mean it always communicates a feeling, it feels like it's just smut for the sake of smut.

I get what you're saying! He definitely is rough even on his own body. But he also seems to have sadistic tendencies tbh, at first at least. He likes to bully Dan in the bedroom AND out of it, it's just that in their intimate scenes it all feels forceful, the author is also wild for clearly making Dan say he didn't like it then he switches up at times and says it's not all that bad then he says he hates it and only feels pain most of the time, it's like, which one is it? Does he like it like that now or not? To me he looks in pain all the time... idk, aren't the readers to enjoy those scenes since there's so many of them? They really feel like a chore imo, I don't see their appeal.
There's a way to execute 'roughness' and 'dominance' well in smut and this author sucks at it, it's straight up just assault, heck it even feels like the author is forcing Dan to tell us he likes it sometimes to make us feel less iffy, but if you gotta do that, it means ur scenes are clearly coming across less sexy and more creepy
