The emperor pisses me off one moment and I pity him the next when he looks like a kicked puppy.
I think I need to know the entire background of this stuff before I decide how I feel about everyone in this webtoon. I don't even know how I feel about the MC. She isn't bad per say but sometimes she feels too attached to her previous life and that's not fundamentally wrong but when you're basically the person people believe in as a good and the person they're prepared to die for (from the moment she came to this world multiple knights, knowing they are nowhere near the emperor's level, stood us tp him and got almost killed)... I'm still waiting for everyone's character development.
The emperor is surprisingly one of my favorites but he is still confusing. Why does he like her and is it even "like" ? He said he wasn't in love with her when his advisor asked about it and it didn't seem like he was just saying that. It seemed like he genuinely thought about his feelings towards her and deemed them to not be love. So why is he so obsessed?
Can everyone in this story just make up their minds?
She kinda pissed me off in this chapter. I might've not been as frustrated with her actions if she was as young as before but she grew up, she knows what kind of household she belongs to and yet what did she expect? Everyone to be eating cakes and chatting like she does all day long ? She was surprised that the Emiel who is always kind to her is that strict when training? and training people to protect her and her family ? Girl WTF ? is her brain for decoration?
He is kind to the one he protects and strict when people don't do their duty. That makes perfect sense so why is she saying that as if it's some grand act of betrayal.
This is the first time I 've felt so angry with her.
The cover crop is bothering me so much. The girl is obviously the main character yet she was cropped from the cover obviously judging by the tiny hand on the bottom left corner in the first pages of each chapter and I wonder if the person who uploaded the cover was given the choice to choose the cropped image, I wonder why they didn't choose a part where the actual main character is in the frame

The seme can't be oblivious to the reason of his partner's insecurities right ? The seme is super popular and his partner has been by his side for ever so he knows that he never refuses confessions and always goes with the flow so it makes sense that he doesn't feel possessive over the seme because he doesn't want to get attached and then get tossed aside for being too clingy. He still thinks it's a miracle that he can still remain by his side and he is physically not as attractive and has always been the sidekick that gives the other guy confession letters and gifts.... I completely understand his insecurities.
The seme isn't making it any better. He isn't horrible per say but he isn't doing his best to help the situation when he often goes out with groups of girls that he calls friends and has lunch with theml and such. Those acts in themselves aren't acts of betrayal but when your partner has a very low self esteem and thinks you practically accepted them like you do everyone else, maybe don't have lunch with a bunch of girls the day after and then go clubbing or whatever with girls at night ?
It makes sense if I'm being honest and I support her decision. She isn't trying to be difficult or anything. She wants her future husband to love her and if the duke doesn't then there is no assurance that he will in the future just as long as she puts effort into it.
I like that she was honest about it to avoid misunderstandings and didn't just tell him to call it off without any explanation. She has the right to be happy and as she said, him being a handsome charming man isn't enough for their future

Sometimes (most of the time) she pisses me off a lot. I forgot how old she was before she was reincarnated or if it was never mentioned but unless she was 3 or 4, she is a complete dumbass. I've read a lot of stories where the FL is portrayed as "adorably unaware of others' emotions" and sometimes, it's cute but this ain't it chief ! She just gave up without living her life. And it isn't like those stories where the FL is like "fuck it, I'll accept this and work towards my ruin and then live life freely", she is totally saddened by it and odesn't have another plan so basically she is driving herself towards this "martyr end" and it's very stupid. At least have a plan B or something. This isn't cute at all, it is stupid, so stupid that unless she is mentally challenged, none of the shit she has done so far can qualify as human-like behaviour

She has not made it abundantly clear at all. She just spouts that nonsense all the time without any explanation which makes her look and sound very childish. She always days villainess this and that and takes no one's opinion into account and tries to force her narrative of what is going to make them happy . I have not read the novel if it exists but in the manga she never fully explained what's at stake. If she is going this for the good of everyone then she should explain everything. She gives snippets of the story which makes everyone frustrated and annoyed, proven by the prince's reaction in the latest chapter.
Yes, not everyone is going to buy the "I l how all this shit because I'm reincarnated and this is an otome game" but she could've found a better way to deliver the message. I've read hundreds of mangas in this isekai/otome game/transmigration genre and I think she mogj5 be one of the most annoying MCs ever. I don't know if she'll redeem herself in the future but for now, she is unbearable to watch.
Sadly in the novel, she doesn't redeem herself. She just went from "I will become a flowery villain" to "I'll be good fiance". But still the dumbass as she was before!!!
because she really is a hyperactive dumbass with a good heart. Also, she only has a few vague memories of her past but that doesn't mean she is her past self. She is herself with a memory of the past self. So she's really just being a child.
You can't always assume everyone will be a Mary Sue and always think of some WOW plots to end world calamities. The prince is the one filling that role.
Wouldn't it be boring if all of the characters are all fantastic genius people? Where will be the diversity? And there's already a lot of manga/novel that has done that.
Her character is built to be a fresh take on the whole villainess reincarnation to otome games. She wholeheartedly takes the role of the villain in the dumb otome game cuz she wants her family and friends to be saved.
I guess, if you're a child with sudden memories of a game where your mother died, you too will be put into a frenzy. I'm just amazed that she ain't mentally disturbed yet from the bad memories. She's dealing with it in her own way.

I sympathise with your frustration but there’s a thing you need to keep in mind. Most of the manga so far was told from the prince’s POV. So if Bertha refused to let him know anymore than she had done, he has no way of knowing what exactly to happen in the game’s storyline and that conveys to us reader. I agree that she’s not the smartest character ever, but her airhead-ness is supposed to be her appeal and according to the spoiler above, what saves the prince from turning evil so it’s what works for this story.

The thing that bothers me about the chef is that even though he probably isn't a bad guy and doesn't intend to play with the guy, it sure feels like it. He knows he was insecure about his imprint and that he is super jumpy around him and that he respects him almost like a god but the way he doesn't give him any reassurance, makes me think badly of him.
I mean I'm all for being professional and I don't want him to compliment the guy when he is being shitty in the kitchen but once they're out of there, he could do much better than convince him they'll get along better if they spill their secrets and only run away later without upholding his end of the deal. By now, he probably knows the little chef is his soul mate and he knows he is a virgin and all that stuff but he made no effort on his side to reveal his imprint or get closer on a personal level and it's this that makes me feel he is playing around with him. It's probably not the case since we see him frustrated from time to time but I wouldn't blame the little guy if he misunderstood and thought he is being toyed with since the other guy isn't making it any better (the little guy already thinks for sure they are not mates). I feel kinda sad that this emperor desciple who looked like he had a very close reltionship to her does not recognize her. Yes, he has some doubts but he already judges her to not be his master and is merely looking to confirm that.
Now that I think about it, crazy mana desciple also didn't recognize her when they met twice and only knew who she was when she stopped his rampage upong their second meeting.
I don't want to sound too poetic but the way they had a connection to her in the past, I thought that even if she reincarnates as some guy with no memories of her previous life, they'd all recognize her right away but maybe it's too unrealistic.

I still hope he'll be the ML. I mean as far as I know, this isn't based on a novel and raws aren't far ahead so nothing is confirmed yet. If you think about it, she has those hottie disciples but they're like her kids. She basically raised them so I don't think she'll be with any of them. I don't think she'll be with any new character either. That doesn't make sense. Also, the demon king seems to be possessing her disciple or something so I doubt it'll be him either.
I say Jeffry has the highest chances unless the author/artist is going to go for a tragic ending where she dies before getting together with anyone which I also doubt. Even if she dies young (relatively young seeing as she is hella old), I think the author isn't going to deny her the very reason she came back to life.
So if she is definitely going to have a romantic partner before the ending, if it's not Jeffery, I don't know anyone else more fit for it
