lol bunch of bullshit. Her parents were killed and a bunch of tragedies occuerred but everything was swept under the rug in the guise of stupid romance and bullshit words that moved the heart of a guy who went through all of that planning...
I am not the targetted audience of shojo but seriously I wouldn't have liked this at any stage of my life. It's beyond stupid.
If you wanted to make a story just about silly romance then do that without introducing subplots then overlooking them
This is so stupid. She basically fell in love just like that ? And why the fuck is she acting so stupid ? She knows her entire family would be punished if it was discovered that she is a woman (she deceived the king) yet she makes no effort in hiding it and more like looks like she is actively making an effort to get exposed.
Too much bullshit even for a shojo manga
Chapter 12 made me drop this. This might be an unpopular opinion but:
For this type of webtoon where the main selling point is that it's different and the FL is badass and everything isn't cliché, for the author to drop the "fateful meeting" thing where she meets an angel that saves her life and then she'll meet him again in the future...ugh it makes the whole novel concept crumble in my opinion.
Another thing I dislike is her brother. Being petty directly in front of your sibling is one thing but calling them evil in front of an outsider (he is not a family member) and all that bullshit even though he knows what she had been through and that a 10 year old child had to run away, also he never contacted her...
Well, too bad. This had potential initially but it's ruined for me
I liked because I only agree with the second part of your comment. As for the first part, I think I am going to give this a bit more time to see how it goes. But yeah, they definitely do overuse the "this is definitely not going to be cliche" and then throw the fateful encounter with an angel (those two things definitely doesn't work well together) The only way possible is if they don't realise that they have met before until they are completely in love with each other, married and settled down, like one day they are randomly having a conversation and then suddenly realise it.
I don't like this one bit. The premise is great and I liked the characters but it's WAAAAAY too soon for her to fall in love with him. She went from thinking he'll abandon her and fearing that to being obsessed with loving him...
It's too fast and although they made a little progress in understanding each other compared to the first day they got married but it's nowhere near enough for romance to be introduced and for us readers to go through the angst of unrequired love
Well if you or i were in situation like she went trough, it would be same for us to want love to be cared for and get attached by them ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ just feel the feeling don't think too much however i would wish for her to be strong and arrogant type of a orson as she went trough hell probably boish type girl ..man that would have been lit

I don't feel bad for him at all. He went after a serious guy like Jihye while he has that shitty guys hanging around him and now he went to the shitty guy when he felt rejected and down, it's like he is trying to make things worse. He was acting all pissed off like he didn't want the pervert to keep sticking to him but the second he got rejected he went to him...
This is why, even though he cried, I felt nothing at all. Jihye is a serious guy and he doesn't deserve to get pulled into this bullshit
I didn't say whether he was playing with Jihye or not. I was making the argument that someone needs to sort out their shit before going after someone in a romantic way. He knew the pervert was messed up in the head and kept doing creepy things, it's not like he went from being a normal friend to acting this way.
Also, "ending it"? How does that make sense ? He loves someone else and wants to prove his sincerity but he casually kissed another guy as part of "ending it" ?
I don't think I'll suport this relationship any time soon. Jihye deserves much better
I truly do suggest you re-read chapters 84 and 85, I think they answered a lot of your concerns.
Also, I believe this image to be a good reply to the "casually kissed another guy" argument:

yeah I did make a mistake saying that. I read too many webtoons and I thought he agreed to kiss him but still, somehow I can't like this guy at all.
I just hate the fact that he had a relationship with the creep (I don't mean that kind of relationship, just A relationship) and the creep even talked to Jihye in one chapter so he knew that Jihye was going to get dragged into this but still pursued him. It just bothers me a lot
I understand the need to protect Jihye, but I have to stand up for Gyoon as well. Like I mentioned, chapters 84 and 85 sum the whole thing up nicely: in an act of desparation after his brother did the things he did, and his friend went blind, Gyoon requested that
Oops sorry trigger fingers
Anyway, Gyoon requested that Mr. Soh keep an eye on Jihye so that Byung doesn’t even come near him. This whole time, Gyoon has been telling Jihye he loves him, it's just that Jihye never believed him, so Gyoon settled for just being near him while having Soh keep Byung away. Like a silent protector from a distance type.
Then, Jihye actually starts acknowledging him and Gyoon tries to break the relationship off - chapter 84 contains a flashback where Gyoon explicitly tells Soh that the deal is off since Byung has left fhe country.
THEN, in an attempt to rile Gyoon up, Soh brings Byung back and gets Byung and Jihye really close, just to make Gyoon angry, because he knew that was the only way to get Gyoon to talk to him again/lash out at him like he wants.
So, basically, the only way Gyoon could think of protecting his friend and crush was to bribe Soh in some way - otherwise his very crazy brother could have done god knows what. When his brother is removed and there is no more need to protect either, Gyoon breaks the relationship with Soh off. However, Soh purposefully brings Byung back into the country and puts Jihye and even Soohwa in danger just because he can't take being ignored by Gyoon. It is only when the chairwoman threatens him that Soh backs off, but not until violently demanding Gyoon kiss him and then aggressively doing so against Gyoon's will.
I hope that clarified everything. Truly, I do get the need to stand up for Jihye, he does get trampled on a lot by everyone because he's kind, but I do feel like Gyoon was out of options. That by no means implies Gyoon's perfect - he has temper tantrums and can be two faced in the sense that he hides who he is in front of Jihye - but I don't think he's a bad guy, and I don't think the blame should be placed on him in this case. He's a victim of an obsessive man who can't get what he wants so he settles for ruining others' lives to get a substitute for a relationship that's out of reach
Aaaand I just realized that at one point I said Yohan went blind, I meant deaf* sorry, it's a bit past my bedtime
Spam truly over this time
