-Chapter 1 was angsty but the ending was okay
The next chapter (was also labeled - Chapter 1 by mistake, I guess) + chapter 2: The story is meh. I know that the mangaka has a way of drawing characters to emphasize the angst and all but it didn't feel that sad to me. The seme is too selfish and pushy and the uke is too submissive and he neither pushes the seme away nor express his love which creates this whole drama and all but compared to the other stories, this doesn't seem as sad.
-Chapter 3 is just weird! I couldn't tell who was bullied for being gay at first then the guy I thought was a closeted gay was actually the openly gay one and they other was the one who pushed him away...And what's with yaoi and using this cheap plot "you rejected me so I went and had sex with a random dude" (which here turned out into a group rape apparently)
-Chapter 4 : Glad they had their happily every after but what's with the last few pages labeled as "prologue", is that a prologue for next book or for this one.
Finally: Every couple looks the same! I know that a same artist has trouble making multiple characters especially in black and white where hair colour and stuff can't distinguish them but still, they're too confusing
Itt's the prologue to http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/seinen_wa_ai_o_kou/
This is one of those stories where my first instinct is all "don't comment on this" because I can't figure out how I feel about it to even put it into words and write a comment. First there's an unhealthy environment that fosters codependency then there's the major rape event then we know that, in a twisted way, they both think they love each other and have equal dark desires...
I am okay with a fragile uke but I can't handle a seme who manipulates the uke as his plaything. It's one thing to be sorta manipulative with someone you love and wanting to possess them but playing with a guy you have no feelings for just because it's interesting is a no-go for me. Hope next chapter delivers
yeah this mangaka is going for the dumbass fragile weak uke. I don't minf the fragile part but idiocy should have a limit. I can understand wanting to be around someone and being tired of being called "a ghost" and all but letting someone use your body in a sexual way just to escape being lonely for a second is the dumbest thing ever. Needless to say that uke's personality isn't ideal but the relationship gets especially frustrating when the seme is that manipulative. I know you're reserved to call it "manipulation" but he is clearly using the uke's weak spot and bending his will so, to me, it qualifies as a compulsion or manipulation of sorts. These kind of stories where one character is just overconfident and toys with the other person, they just make me wish that in the next chapter that person suffers and regrets their action by falling in love first while the presumed weak person is oblivious to their feelings
Agree with you but hey, there are all sorts of people in this world (though this is a manga!) And I'm sure the seme has already fallen for the ikr, there's this panel where the Ike makes a face and the seme looks surprised, this is the typical yaoi where the uke doesn't realize till the end about it
Not ikr, *uke

It's nice. It isn't random porn without plot so that's a plus. I both understand and dislike the uke simultaneously:
-I understand being a coward in love and it's especially heightened for him because he is dating a previously straight guy, he has bad luck with guys and this is Japan where being gay is frowned upon so I understand him
- But, I also dislike him because the seme is also struggling. This is the seme's first gay relationship so it's admirable that he didn't run away from his feelings and hurt the uke but he accepted it instead and he is even attempting to make the uke feel less insecure by taking him on dates to insist on them not being just sex friends (which he probably did to make the uke know that he is serious and to make him forget about his previous relationship where the other guy used him or sex). So from the seme's point of view, the more he tries to reassure the uke and make him feel comfortable like taking him on a trip where they don't have to mind being recognized, the more the uke pulls away and gets frightened on getting attached and being left behind.
